Damn. Illinois outplayed them about 35 minutes of the 40 in that game. Ball movement, tenacious D (cue Jack Black), Freshmen playing big tonight...

Hell of a win.

A thought: If Illinois was invited to the CBI, I would snatch it up. Would be a great experience.

More fun kenpom stuff.
Highest ranked team with x wins:

Penn State (64) and Illinois (68) are both ranked higher than all of them with only 8 wins.

Dude, would it kill you to give Ayo some credit without being underhanded about it, Izzo? Go jump in a lake.

Yeah, he kept saying Ayo was a 30% shooter from three. Pretty sure he is 35%.
Maybe if you scouted better Tommy...

It is really amazing the progress this team has made the last month or so. So much more confidence in the way they play. Really enjoyable to watch.

Getting contributions from a lot of different players. Great to see Ayo make big shots and Frazier step up to knock down free throws at the end,

To paraphrase Tom I "Illinois played great BUT, it was mostly just us sucking tonight" jerk to the very end.

"Gorgi" , and A-Oh" Pretty much like not knowing Kipper's name last year. You'll learn them quickly Tommy..

Tommy can't say anything good of Illini, he loves to recruit in IL.

That picture with Aaron in the middle with pure enjoyment and elation is about as perfect as it can get for this guy who has suffered, anguished, toiled and persevered through it all. Man look at the grit he is playing with, the players he has to defend, the game he has brought this year...all without flinching, without outwardly being frustrated, without leaving, and most importantly always being the beacon of light for our beloved ILLINI....so happy for him and his family with this one picture so deserving. This young man has done it right and will do great things in his life.
