Man that game was disjointed. Why are Big Ten officials so bad?Good game for Kofi. Hope we don’t have to wait 10 days for our next game
Totally agree. I know it is a difficult job, but I really think it is on the league "leadership." In an effort to make the league super-competitive they go out of their way to keep games as close as possible. They are way too noticeable in every game I watch whether it's ours or any other league game. And I really feel it has contributed to no B10 champions since MSU in what, 2000? Not the only reason, obviously, but teams are not used to playing games with the refs not blowing the whistle non stop for 40 minutes. Ok, stepping off soapbox now.

I loved planting someone on the free throw line. Almost posted something about why we don’t use that anymore as we had in previous years. Heck I’d like to see that against man to man too. Better than the damn weave.

Really appreciate Underwood shaking things up a bit (ok little bit). It's been needed for a couple of weeks. Why are coaches so stubborn?

Also liked that we had a plan for the zone with Curbelo and DMW playing at the high post.

A great possession ending with a Miller three, put us up 61 -40. Crisp, multiple passes brought back memories of another guard heavy Illini team.

We are hard to beat when we have multiple players having a decent scoring outing.

The first step hopefully was taken, attitude. Made some effective adjustments to what teams are doing to is as of late, but still sloppy. Continue to perfect the adjustments we are making and this thing will be rolling big time by mid February. We are a force and will be a monster come tourney time.

Glad we came out strong. Game was won in the first half for a chance.

I don’t mean to be a negative Nancy, but we were way too casual in the second half. We played them to a draw. But far too many offensive rebounds given up and casual plays/passes. better team probably makes it a game down the stretch.

Hope Jake is okay. Think we may have found some magic with him in the starting lineup and probably helps DaMonte to not have to body up against starting 4s. Kofi continues to improve as a passer.

I put at least part of the blame on the refs. The 10+ minute break and then a foul fest in the second half took everyone out of their rhythm. Glad to survive with a win. Onto Iowa or whoever.

Man it's a good thing we didn't fire BU after last game, hey where's everyone who posted after last game, I don't see you tonight, just asking for a friend.
I'm right here. Although I did not call for his firing, I was critical. In my opinion, and BU's by the way as he said multiple times he needed to be better, it was well deserved. Like I said, appreciate him changing things up a bit and getting Jake and Hawkins more minutes. Many have been calling for it for many weeks, it finally happened and results were mostly good

We're all fans, we just vent differently, I was a little snarky, too much koolaid/beer. And a good win.

In frustrated the refs kept waving off the “and 1” opportunities for Kofi. Pay that man!!
