I was at the game and here's a few observations I made:
-Much better overall flow to our offense now that we have enough wrinkles (not just KJ getting picks)
-Our defense in the first half was stellar, our defense in the 2nd half, especially late was atrocious (another 53 point half).
-This team still lacks a killer instinct and we struggle mightily in closing minutes of games. The end of that game will surely give all of us grey hairs.
-Why on earth Brad is still playing Ben meaningful minutes (35) is beyond me. I couldn't believe that Morez essentially sat the bench the entire 2nd half.
-Our obvious best lineup was Tomi, Morez, Will, Kyland, KJ-But hey, Brad gets paid the big bucks to disagree with me.
BIGGEST TAKEAWAY:
After 34 hit his 5th or 6th 3, Underwood called a timeout and Hamer (I'm pretty confident) went to say something to Brad and his immediately stopped him and looked like he was ready to steal his soul. Hamer sat down and looked like his puppy got hit by a car. I'm pretty certain Brad was enraged by the gameplan and issues we were having with 34.
Maybe it's just me, but I actually thought the crowd was terrible tonight. There were times when we increased the lead past 10 and the place should've been ROCKING and impossible to hear and it was nearly silent. Maybe I'm just getting older but it just doesn't feel like the crowd has a killer instinct either.
