Last year, this is just about the time where Will Riley exploded into the scene. He didn't score 46 in a game, but he was extremely explosive and played his way into the first round. He carried us home in a lot of games.

Where do the comps start and stop? Keaton is the much better shooter and his ability to get separation is elite(sorry Brad).

Riley played above the rim. If you threw a pass anywhere near the rim, he'd climb the ladder and stuff it. He was elite(sorry again Brad) on baseline.

Foul shooting isn't close in favor of Keaton.

Riley's season ended on an extremely awful note in our loss to Kentucky, but he was special in our win vs Xavier.

Look at Will's stats from the game @ Nebraska on.

Just interested on the takes.

Anyone know if the game is going to re air? I’d like to watch it without the score bug completely covered by a winter weather alert

What a way to start my gorgeous Sunday. Keaton going Godzilla in Tokyo, At Purdue. ESPN showing ❤️. 1 foot of snow. Best Saturday in a longgggg time. Go Illini.

50 years of Illini BB for me. Instead of being excited about the upcoming games, I am already fretting over the season being over too soon. I think I might put all the other things in my life on the back burner for the next couple months. This is shaping up to be too much fun.

I saw on the BTN at 11am eastern time. Be able to watch it with church cancelled. Will enjoy it again. The one thing that didn't rattle this team when Pu started to build a lead. Great win. Hope did not read their schedule wrong.

Keep Keaton away from snow removal! We all know what happened to Larry Bird working on his mom's driveway!

knowing Purdue fans were going home cold, with a loss, and no nuggets was very satisfying.

I don't think you can overstate how brutal this game was for their fans. There were at least 3 missed front ends where guys buried the shot that would have gotten them free nuggets. They took a double digit lead early --they were playing extremely well. And when we caught back up, Purdue and their seniors answered over and over during that game...but it still wasn't enough.

Agreed. However, also worth noting Keaton had the assist on 3 of the 4 threes at the end (two to Tomi, one to Davis).

And the Mirkovic three was a hockey assist, two swing passes from the top of the key.

Just made the correct play almost every time down. Hard to find a great offensive play today... where he didn't have his fingerprints over it.

He assisted on 2 of the 4… Jake got the assist on David’s 3 and there was no official assist on Tomi’s first 3 (he and Jake Davis made that happen with Jake faking the baseline cut and popping back out and Tomi’s subsequent fake)

The point wasn’t to take away from anything Keaton did, but simply to show that pretty much everyone that was on the floor made big plays down the stretch

One more thing about this team...Ty Rodgers isn't even back yet.

Anybody know if he's coming back this season? Because there's another lockdown defender and tenacious rebounder both offensively and defensively (And I like how he contributes to the offense...his game should be much improved).

I still can’t get over a guy ranked outside the 200 and immediately becomes a lotto pick.

Tyler Underwood discovering him is gonna be up there with when the Murray State coach found Ja Morant playing 3 v 3 in a back gym.

I think Wagler is gonna go on a “put the team on my back run”. Once you know you can do it, and you do it, and you get that confidence…there’s no more limits to what’s possible. I think prior to this game he was a piece of the team. Now, I think he knows he’s the guy and all of college basketball knows it. The guy is playing like a 6’6 Steph Curry. There’s really no comparison for that leap that quickly. Gotta go way back to Tracy McGrady being an unknown HS player before his senior year to bypass HS/lotto pick in a year.

methinks that post was entirely tongue in cheek. if anything, the guy was throwing shade on the idiot Bama homer judge who ruled their pro could play
You may be right. But, after years of Edey domination, I enjoy seeing their fanbase fall from the top into a panic.

Also, I found the highlights of Purdue winning trio over the last several years to be laughable since they conveniently omitted Edey's role in most of those wins.
