Watched Marcus 4 years at SIU. Short answer is loyalty. No major offered him, but SIU was there from the start. He got his degree, fulfilled his legacy there and wanted to see if he could do it on a bigger stage. Great player. Better young man.

Regardless of the Badgers record, the Kohl center has always been a tough place for road teams. Good win for the Fighting Illini and we clinched the double bye for the B1G tournament!
For the 1 seed, 27.9% to beat both Purdue and Iowa. We could also beat Iowa technically while Purdue loses to either MSU or Wisconsin which gives us another 9.4%. Purdue isn't going to lose out, so not even going to calculate that aspect. So would have been roughly a 38% chance had we won that game to be the 1 seed.
