Someone has to say, even though I don"t really believe it:

We have peaked too soon.

You can tell Brad and the staff put in a lot of effort to construct this year's team in exactly the image he wanted. Tough, smart, hard working, and relentless, Junkyard defense, great ball movement, unselfish play, and good scoring (elite tonight). Everyday guys was a slogan last year. With this team, it's reality. Brad is much calmer and focused on the bench. No screaming at players or fart noises in postgame interviews. We are watching a special Illini team building a terrific resume while getting better each game. Special season in the making.
Remember his first year saying he wasn’t worrying about height. Haven’t heard that from him recently.

TSJ and the Doc put on a show tonight for the nation to understand we are coming for the hardware this year.............BU coached a great game and the staff had a great game plan for this # 11 ranked opponent...............

This win has me giddy with excitement and allowed me to overcome my pain.........this game HAS to be an Illini Classic as we did everything right tonight.........I will be interested to hear the FAU coaches presser........I know I will enjoy BU's.............

I don't have a lot of energy left as today has been a trying day , but this effort by the beloved cures it all for me.......I'm gonna make this post a short one as I need to kick back and savor this win....................

Major takeaways:

Domask and Shannon are very good. It's going to be difficult to stop both of them.

Coleman needs to let the game come to him and stop forcing step back shots. He doesn't need to be the guy just needs to play defense, do the dirty work, and occasionally hit a pick and pop 3.

Goode is a lights out spot up shooter. Would like to see them get more looks for him.

Harmon struggled a bit with the quickness of FAU's guards but good news is that most teams don't have that type of athleticism. Still I think he showed a bit of the scoring punch he can provide off the bench to go with the defense and rebounding he can provide.

Guerrier probably shouldn't be on the floor at the same time as Hawkins. I think Guerrier should function as backup to Hawkins and just play small ball when Hawkins goes to the bench(should still be fine because of the overall length of the team).

Dainja is simply a liability on defense. Can't really protect the rim and can't guard out to the 3 pt line. Also, his penchant for head scratching turnovers and sometimes forcing shots really negate some of the good things he can do offensively.
SO glad you don't know what you're freakin' talkin' about!

Aside from the 30+ points, MD might have become THE critical piece on this team(obviously along with TSJ). He can handle the ball late and he can make free throws. Just a huge development for us. I thought that Harmon left a mask on the game as well. Outstanding win.

If you would have told me that we would have won 2 of 3 (@ Rutgers, FAU and @ Tennessee)....I would have been thrilled. Having a shot at all three is outstanding.

Lol Domask was 13-15 from 2. Probably can't ask for that but was a hell of a performance, was even going inside when the 7 footer was inside.
How many of those were easy buckets too? I swear there were maybe only one or two that were either not in flow or contested. Everything else was very much in his comfort zone so if he can get to his spots 1 on 1 I could see more performances like this in the future!

If this game doesn’t help us build toward winning in March then it won’t end up meaning any more than just a fun game to watch (and it certainly was that). Seems strange to say when 2 guys dominated the scoring but they played as a team that understood their roles and cared only about winning.
