Good start, really bad stretch in the second half. Can't have those. I don't understand why we don't put the press on when we are in the middle of a no-movement, bad stretch of offensive play like we had today - especially against a team with no ball handling. The quickest way to energize us is to kick start our D, and press has a chance to do that. I just don't understand why we don't employ it more in these kind of situations. Our length can cause issues; put Domask at the back end and put pressure on the ball.

Took our foot off the pedal, still closed it out, great rebounding and ft shooting. I love this team.
Coasted to the win, they got hot for six minutes while we got a little cold or it would have been quite a bit more than a 17 point win.

Overall solid effort. They packed the paint and mixed in a zone to muck up the game in the second half. We seemed to lose focus and settle a bit on offense but kept up defensive focus for the most part.

Biggest positives for me were Coleman and Quincy offensively. Both look like they are feeling better and of course our offense is much more potent when they are hitting shots. Liked Ty’s aggressiveness too. Tough luck with a few bunnies but those will start to drop if he remains aggressive.

Biggest negative to me was our transition defense was pretty mediocre. We need to clean that up in a hurry or Mizzou will bury us with transition 3’s.

Given the sleepy Sunday morning start right after finals week and a 3 game road trip against a tourney caliber opponent, I will take a mostly comfortable 17 point win.
