Looking at this class as it stands right now do we have any recruits that may break the 2 deep next year? I know we have a lot of upper classmen. I would expect all the linemen to redshirt.

Trevour Simms could see time next year if he winds up at Illinois.

A couple of crystal ball predictions yesterday. Dele Harding looks like a really nice player and is scheduled to visit this weekend. Also Trainer is a Virginia commit at this time.

Dele Harding
Jahmir Johnson
Andrew Trainer

I hope they have something up their sleeves for DL. Shelton is taking visits and has a Penn State offer. If he flips, I see 3 DL currently in this class. Follow that up with 2 high school commits in the past 2 years, and our DL is paper thin.

Dele Harding would be our top or second best recruit according to 247.

It seems that Jahmir hasn't really been scouted, and Temple is the only other decent program (honestly they're better than us) to have offered.

I'm a fan of Trainer's size, and he would also be a solid commitment to help bolster the recruiting class rankings.

Coming away with all three would be a great help to this class, and I REALLY hope that Shelton stays committed. We need that depth on the DL moving forward, or we are going back to the last few years where our DLine didn't look like a B10 DLine whatsoever.

I like Tymir Oliver and Kenyon Jackson more than Shelton. I would like three DT in this class but I believe they are only going to take two. Golesh was Shelton's recruiter. The writing is on the wall for Shelton

And I think we get Harding and Trainer.

Some names I've seen as visiting this weekend. A lot of players from the south these days.

1/29/16
Dele Harding LB
Jahmir Johnson OL
David Montgomery RB
Mj McGriff WR
D'Ante Smith OL—committed to ECU 1/22 so I doubt his visit is still on
TaDarryl Marshall ATH
Tristan Cooper ATH—committed to ARIZ on 1/22 so doubt he’s coming
Harvey Clayton S

Blessed to say I've committed to the University of Wisconsin!

expected but I would've loved to see him in O&B

In the words of Doug Boushon, it isn't who you don't get but who you get. I don't think there is a single offensive skill recruit from Illinois this year that is a big time recruit. I think Brodner and Eric Eshoo are the best skill position recruits in the state but Zarrian Holcombe and Tre Nation are better.

But Brodner is at least Big Ten starting back and we should have offered him as such before.

How the heck is the Marshall kid visiting Illinois. Assuming his offer list is legit.
