Every year players leave programs the most common is a player who will not be able to play due to depth chart. I count on it every year, it may seem cold but the hope is to land some one in their place that may prove to be a more valuable asset.

Oh by the way Robinson not a huge loss barely a 3* and the biggest thing he brought was also the most problamatic . He blamed nasty but looked a little out of control to the point it concerned me.

It is also not unusual for recruits to decommit. We see it all the time for us and other teams.

All i'm saying is we got a decommit before we had one of those folk lore, unsigned guys who were waiting for Cubit to be extended before committing commit...

Did you expect five minutes after he was given the job they were going to commit? If Nick Saban took the job we wouldn't have that.

1. We are on day 5 since he was named HC, not 5 minutes....

2. You must not have heard his direct quote where he said the recruits were waiting for him to be named HC before they pulled the trigger.

Yeah, mudflap, he sorta said explicitly there were guys in a 'pipeline' of sorts waiting to hear us say Cubit was our guy. tick, tock

I believe the offensive lineman we get to replace Robinson will make everyone ok with his decommit. I honestly think we will have a better staff in place next year than this year for bringing in talent. I think Nathan will be a monster on the recruiting front within 3 years and so thankful we have him on staff.

Lived in KC for a couple of years and Nate is well known. Any high school game I would attend and wear my Illini hat I would have people stop me and talk about him. I think he needs to hit the KC area hard and start getting some talent. Right now the only person I can think of on the team from the area is Mcgrew.

If we really do get Ricker back and get Cornell Ford as go the twitter rumors with the turnover at Mizzou, we could own the St. Louis area with Bellamy and concentrate on getting the best talent out of Missouri with Nathan focused in KC and Louisville. Chicago can be attacked by the entire Big Ten and we can focus where there is less resistance.

From a friend who has been banned by Dan multiple times and an alumni swears up and down that there is no way Moran plays a down at Illinois

Moran's Illinois career is a bit like Kevin Spacey at the end of American Beauty. There are a lot of different MEANS for it to end, but seemingly only one WAY.

Here I go again influencing friends and making enemies. Kentrail Moran to me is not that huge a loss. Way more than Robinson but he did not even rate a high 3* when I watched his tape. It was 5.65 or nearly a high. If previous commits are as good as they are suppose to be he would a sub /slash career backup.
I have watched about 10 kids tapes we offered for the first time when I come I will post who I liked maybe their grades.
