ESL's QB has an Illini offer and their WR Jeff Thomas has us in his final 5. He's one of the best wrs in the country
We should recruit the entire team. They are that good
Peoria High... the school has talent! Coran Taylor and Kendrick Green are two players that would be great fits for the Illini. Need to offer Coran Taylor, and need to start recruting Kendrick harder. Sadly i worry Kendrick has his mind set on a college. Hopefully the staff can get something going

If that's the case I don't see Illinois getting the nod. Even with Terry not sure that would be enough to take away from a program like Bama.
That is pretty cool of him to put us in his top 2. Some good publicity I guess. But yeah, unless Lovie sold him on being one of the guys that jump started the Illini program, I would put all my money on Bama.
Gotta remember too, our staff is no longer a joke.... the experience they have is pretty amazing at the NFL level. Show him a few of those dropped passes from our sub par WB and show him what could be
I had posted above that this was likely the case. It was always Bama, Mizzou and Illinois. With Mizzou out of the picture it became clear there are only 2. Also note that Mizzou was his perceived leader so I wouldn't count out Illinois vs Alabama.
Lovie and Staff is the difference.
Recall Lovie, after the NW game, said that he will get a very good class this coming year. I would not count anyone out, no matter who the competition is. Having said that we may get just a few. They will wipe out the -ve thinking we have grown to accept. IMHO of course.

The big question with Thomas is if he will qualify academically. There is definitely some concern that he won't meet the minimum NCAA requirements.
It looks like Notre Dame Coach is exploring options to leave Notre Dame.

They dominated my Hilltoppers last weekend. No punts. Never seen it. Shocked they lost to Maine South. Anyway, yeah, they're very big. But I don't think any of them are P5 prospects, outside of their Duke-bound TE, of course.
I think it's very likely he signs somewhere and gets placed at a friendly JC program.
Didn't someone post on here a few days back that the ESL coaches told them they are not considering JC options?
Hopefully there is a plan in place to get him qualified, if that is a real concern.
