Just speculating, but maybe Aaron Antoniou (LB). Another former Chicago-area kid (Hinsdale).

I was going to guess this too.

Verdis visited us for the UNC and Iowa games last year. Nice to see us get a 3rd visit out of him.

ND has landed a couple top guys this week, so seems they've been pushing to close guys early, so I'd expect Jones to head to ND.

I am ok with this one. He isn't one of top 10-12 wants from Illinois & St. Louis for me. I think he is at best the 3rd best Tight End in the state

Listed as a WR, but I agree that this one is ok. Would be great to steal a guy from ND, but I don't think he has been a priority to our staff and we have seen through the first recruiting cycle that McGee prefers the shorter, quick-twitch wideouts for his system.

It's fine. Let him go to ND. He just won't be a part of the rebuild. Plenty of others out there.

I don't know many 6'5 WR with 4.86 forties. He seems like he wants to be a Wide Receiver but in a Tight End's body and he doesn't block enough to play as a WR let alone a Tight End. But I have been wrong before. Ford and Ivy are more appealing

So. Days after we hire Abraham, Griffith decides to visit. This is cool. This is really cool. I like this.

Think we are still on the outside looking in with Griffith, but having Abraham gives us a fighting chance for him and hopefully some of the other IMG stars, both 2018 and future

Just seems crazy that even with him being a legacy and now hiring one of his high school coaches, we only have a fighting chance.

Seriously. I mean, why NOT play for a program on the rise with one of the (if not THE) most NFL experienced coaching staffs in one of the best and most historic conferences in the nation?

Hopefully I am underestimating our chances!

I think we are casually ignoring that he's a top-50 recruit and has offers from every school in the country. We are 3 for a lifetime in those situations. The legacy and high school coach increases the odds, but Illinois has been behind on this one for a while.
