Love seeing that kind of excitement about our coach and program from a really really good player - even if we might be a longshot. :thumb:

Devin O'Rourke and Greg Newsome both got crystal balls to Northwestern today.

...and Devin O'Rouke just committed to Northwestern per his twitter

Greg Newsome just visited Illinois today. But I don't like our chances there
Why not? He's visited twice in three weeks
All of the CBs for him changed from Illinois to Northwestern. Ramos and Wiltfong are fairly accurate and they don't randomly make these predictions:

Crystal Balls mean very very little. I believe nothing from Gus Ramos unless he read it off a premium info from Scout and Rivals. They are great for clicks though
Here's some good news for all of "the sky is falling" fans refusing to believe Illinois can land blue chip talent.

It's a little big but I got this from Twitter:
More likely a reference to "it's lit", like it's gonna be a blast. So Lit-tyville maybe?
I thought I read this somewhere but anyone else notice alot of recruiting target say on social media that they are enjoying there Illini visit and will be back.
Any insight into that seemingly common verbage?
Per twitter I saw TE TJ Ivy is visiting tomorrow. 6'5 215. Plenty of room to grow. Moves well.
I've always been a big fan of the TE position. Kinda of a jack of many traits. Pass catching, blocking, ST player. Kinda of a do it all guy.
Teams like Stanford who use multi TE packages I've always loved to watch.
Getting more guys who have the potential to be a 6'4- 6'5 240-260lb athlete moving around doing multiple things is fun to watch.
Agree with you, Big Stan. I would use the TE a lot more than the average coach.
high school tight ends are often big athletic kids who grow into tackles, defensive ends and double as h back combination fullback/tight ends. There's lots of flexibility with kids who are big and can run!
So true. Big athletic HS QBs also often end up as TEs. ĐTs who are too slow end up on the OL.etc. etc.
