Is this an unofficial visit? I was assuming one of the two visits he made during the season was official?

He was on campus at least twice this Spring as well. It's amazing that we can get a guy on campus this much but not get him to commit.

I'm wondering if he's a silent verbal, but we just don't know about it yet? Something weird is going on

I don't get this at all. Having a recruit on campus this much without him being a commit is just strange. I also don't see the purpose of being a silent verbal to us? Why remain publicly committed to Texas if that's the case?

Football recruiting is so . . . sketchy.

Adeoye told rivals he was "100% committed to Texas" about a month ago, even though he had just taken officials to Florida and Oklahoma.

And in just the past two weeks, he received a Nebraska offer, reportedly hosted an Illini in-home visit just after Thanksgiving, and now he's on campus again? A campus visit maybe could be explained away as a visit with friends . . . but not the in-home visit.

I commend the coaches for continuing to recruit a kid that obviously is still receptive to it, but at the same time, I've got to question what a "commitment" really means to kids these days.

This is my thoughts on why and yeah its kind of a off the wall way of thinking.

BUT what IF him and Brown told the staff a good while ago they were coming, and the staff said great but lets keep it quiet and make a giant splash at the end. plus if they arent committed harder for someone to try to steal them away, and to use them against us in recruiting others

lol yeah I know its dumb and a stretch, but this staff seems to try to be stealthy at times

Well a commitment IS less binding the a contract, and these Coachs sure dont seem to care much about signing a contract then leaving so I for one do not fault these kids for making a commitment and trying to get them a spot on a good team, then go looking for something better before signing

It's as simple as him not being 100% sure about going to Texas and he is taking his time figuring that out. Sure he is gonna say that he is 100% committed to Texas, cause how can he not? Plus, he technically is 100% committed. He's 100% committed until the second he is no longer committed.

not exactly. technically, he is 0% committed until he signs a LOI. Verbal commitments mean nothing.

Given all the cfb coaching changes, are we going after any transfers other than app st wr?

Honestly, I think the whole thing is slimy, on both sides. Coaches will sometimes recruit over "committed" kids and then pull their offers. Kids will "commit" until something better comes along. Very few people's "word" means squat anymore, and the sad thing is the same practices have filtered down to high school and even youth sports. Just the world we live in these days :(

Carry on.

A crystal ball (Gus Ramos) has Drake Anderson to Northwestern
Another crystal ball has Braeden Daniels (current Illinois commit) going to Utah

I noticed that flip for Daniels as well. Did he visit this weekend?

Big time get. Should be in the running to start at LT next year and it helps that he'll be here for Spring practices. The lack of OTs on the roster was/is alarming.
