Thought this was interesting. It is Isaiah at his Michigan visit. He drops Lovie's name (to the detriment of the interviewer) and mentions how him and his teammates do talk about wanting to play together
There are negatives here, mainly him talking about the atmosphere during the OSU Michigan game. We don't have that. But I do think we are a major player on him

Definitely bummed, but I'm judging this class by Jason Bargy, Isaiah Williams, and getting a large chunk of the other STL recruits.

Kind of hard to get excited about all these recruits in Stl when they have their offer from Oklahoma pinned to the top of their twitter feed

I'm sure it is just to mess with OU fans' heads when they pick us...

Well there is atleast 1 Stl recruit that should have you excited then.

So much ABI sentiment among our home state players.. I expect more top instate players to end up at Iowa St & MN than in the O&B:tsk::frustrated:
There are a few that seem likely this year, but Lovie & staff will need to build this with TX, CA, StL, FL recruits:ms:

I am by no means giving up on Lovie or Underwood or whoever the women's hoop coach is, but if you had to give a grade on each of Whitman's three major hires at this point, it would be a resounding 'F'. Two dead last finishes in the Big Ten and one near dead last finish. Now, do I think that grade will stay at an 'F'? No! I pray to God no!! But Whitman has to be concerned with the way each of his hires have performed early on here.

I'm sure he didn't expect things to be this bad....

Go Illini!!!:chief:

Though i get the sentiment, Its kinda hard to just swallow. I think each of the major sports had their own unique problems, stemming as far back as 2011/12 when we canned both Zook and Weber. Whitman is both trying to defeat our past and succeed in the present, which is really really hard given the state of the programs. He probably does deserve an F but it Good Ol' Mike T was still here, What grade would he get? An F--?

Not trying to split hairs, but I would argue that women's volleyball is more of a "major" sport than women's hoops (not sure if attendance figures agree). I think that Coach Tamas did a really good/great job with last year's team. Doesn't make up for football and men's hoops, but definitely outshines women's hoops right now.

Both basketball programs lost major pieces, especially the women's team. Jerry West couldn't turn either of those programs around in 1 year. And Lovie purged the majority of his team. Whitman, nor anyone else should be giving these coaches a "grade" until year 3 AT LEAST

Surprising considering he unofficially visited us AND recently came to our Junior Day. :tsk:
