Huge boost to 2019, huge. He'll be a junior, correct? Could be even better for 2020. Very excited today.
he played in 2015, 2016, sat out 2017 with injury and played in 2018. We will have him for a year on the football team while he gets his Masters in Chemistry.

just kidding about the MS in Chem part.

Excellent news! Curious what the current scholarship situation is. IIRC, there were 16 to give going into signing day. Illini signed 11, and since then have received commits from Cooper, Thomas, Ford and now Miller. Carmoni Green announced he was leaving, so does that leave two? I'd like to see one go to an OL, for sure.

No insider, but I feel there is going to be a proven grad transfer QB coming. Believe we are done at OL, but also feel there is a LB ad well.

From what I read, the list of grad transfer QBs who would be immediately eligible to play is not deep. Wimbush (ND) and Hurts ('Bama, if he decides to transfer) lead the list, but there is a pretty big drop off after that; I think you're looking at the backups at Texas, Cal and USF, and then some guys from FCS schools. Makes me think that the Illini's 2019 starting QB likely is already on the roster. I'm OK with that - receivers like Thomas, Ford, Smalling & Miller can make their QBs look pretty good.

Thomas Smalling Miller is going to be the first time we had three upperclassmen starting BIG caliber receivers since when?

Not exactly the best fit (upperclassmen*), but 2015 with Allison (SR), Hardee (SR), Dudek (SO) and Turner (SO) was a solid group. Didn't work out like we all hoped.
