Let today’s events with Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace be a lesson: if you can’t just bludgeon your opponent with vastly superior talent all over the field (which is impossible in the NFL and unforeseeable at Illinois), getting the QB position right is basically the only thing that matters.

If you can’t build an offensive line that is able to block an protect the passer, I really don’t think it matters much who the quarterback is.

Every time I see this stuff I am waiting for a NIL deal for a QB to Illinois. Or can we just start a thread NIL deal?lol

Caleb Williams following Lincoln Riley seems like a decent bet.

Thought we’d be hearing more about getting some other potential transfers but it seems fairly quiet minus Nourzad. Is BB just keeping things close to his vest or are we striking out or not looking?

Love to see if they could add a QB like Malik Hornsby to the team from the portal

See if BB or Lunney can at least lure another QB onto the roster. Been awhile since we have had a starter not get benched/hurt/Covid

We need Hunter Nourzad. A Mechanical Engineering major from Cornell should immediately cross Iowa and Auburn off his list, because they stink. That leaves VA Tech, Penn State, and Illinois.

Obviously he belongs at Illinois, and it's time to quit playing around with these other trash schools.

I thought he was going into the portal. Just seem like he didn’t fit their offense in my opinion.

I remember his recruitment was all ILLINI. There were a couple of other players from Phillips HS at the same time. I don't think we got a player from that team. Maybe he will pick and come to ILL. We need his experience on the team. Coming from the best program in the country will be a good pick up.
