Those two JUCO offers are interesting. Still feeling shaky about the OL room in the immediate future, or emboldened that they hit on Crisler and Adams the last cycle?
Palcho and Philstrom graduating.
Pearl, slaughter, adams, crisler first tier.
Barlev, gesky, kreutz next tier. 2nd years ?
Then freshman now/next year. Probably not ready.
Who knows how many OL want in the rotation to feel comfortable?

Forget what I listened to…Podcast or interview. Basically, everyone is after transfer portal. Lots of competition to get a player. Juco maybe overlooked now. But, there’s a reason someone is in transfer portal. For juco reason is to play at a 4 yr school/grades/ overlooked out of HS. So as long as grades check out, maybe more beneficial addition than portal.

JUCO is fine, just don't do what Lovie did and stop recruiting HS. We got some good ones this year (mainly Adams). The guys they got last/this year won't be ready for another year atleast IMO so we could use the help through this or transfers -- both groups would be smart to play for Bret

It was Bart Miller who said this in one of those interview videos, and I think that's very wise.

They straight up caught everyone napping on Crisler for instance, no one realized he was a 2022 player.

And with two guys that have come in and immediately started for us, it makes us more appealing to them now, a virtuous cycle.

Another big boy; this one from Coffeyville CC — and with a lot more offers.

Blackstock got five P5 offers yesterday (Illinois, Washington State, Penn State, Kansas, and Miss. State). That's one hell of a day considering it's not the calendar start of official offers and not camp season. Also could be lazy data entry on the 247 site. Regardless, heck of a offer season for him.

Any recruits coming tonight?
I did not play high school football so I don't know how this works for sure, but by guess would be that unless any recruit is from just down the road, every recruit is probably just getting out of practice preparing for tomorrow night's high school game. From what I understand I don't think bye weeks are really a thing.

No idea if we’re recruiting anyone from this school, but a great thing to do anyway for cultivating the state.
I can speak more to basketball, but college programs are generally very open to coaches/teams coming by if the schedule lines up.

I’ve been lucky enough to be at practices/tour facilities/be given game tickets by Illinois, UT, Baylor, UT-Tyler, Houston, and I’m currently lining up TCU for this December. Illinois was the only time I didn’t have the whole team with me. Baylor was the only school that was recruiting a player. All the others just gave the kids the experience.

They will usually share their schemes and philosophies with you, give you diagrams and video if they have it available. Generally, very good experiences for everyone.
