2023 class now at 10 top-1000 guys (including Patterson, who's ranking would put him ~815). Get Elzy and that number goes to 11. For comparison, last year's class had 8 top-1000 guys, including Crisler, who's ranking would put him ~890. Last year's class was ranked 63rd with 26 enrollees. This year's class is currently ranked 45th with 21 commits. 33rd ranked class with Elzy.

Pounding the table for the Avery Jones add. Flippin' huge.

Agreed. Best I've felt about the Illinois offensive line future since...... ever?

If Pearl comes back (fairly big if):

LT: Pearl
LG: Slaughter
C: Jones
RG: Crisler
RT: Adams

Lots of optimism for guys like Gesky, Barlev, and Whitenack. Also have guys like Davis, Schuster, Kreutz that have shown some promise. Exciting times.

I'm thinking that Schuster will be a starter next year.

You could be right. Especially if Pearl moves on, Schuster could win the LG job (likely will have an open competition with Gesky) with Barlev & Whitenack in competition for the RT job. Adams would likely be a favorite for the LT job. Pearl moving on makes you a little worried about RT (Barlev? Whitenack? Slaughter? Crisler??? Who's the starter if one of the tackles is injured?)
