Tom Lemming is still around.....wasn't he an ND shill?
Agreed. Back in the day I used to think after reaing payer/team recruit rankings, "Why isn't ND the NC every year?"Tom Lemming is still around.....wasn't he an ND shill?
That's the type of battle we have won what, like, 0 times? Not to be negative--just hoping we can pull this one off and start to get more suburban Chicago kids to look at Illinois more than NW, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
Yeah, probably. But…my poor memory seems to remember Wisconsin officials listed and then hoping Illini could get an official. This announcement seems to put the schools on equal standing. Maybe reading too much into the narrative n=1 and will see where they actually sign this year. That's the type of battle we have won what, like, 0 times? Gorgeous word use here, intentional or not...Agreed. Back in the day I used to think after reaing payer/team recruit rankings, "Why isn't ND the NC every year?"
Man, if we can flip Oden, that would send a message.

They were scared Illinois was a gateway drug for official visits and it would spiral out of controlFun rumor. OU pulled Jenkins offer after visiting Illinois.
is this just a rumor? or do we actually have a legit chance?Jacob Oden, Michigan Wolverines, Safety

Center? Or are we moving Adams there?

But how well does he project against actual starting B1G linemen? I don't think you can get away with being ~275 lbs in the interior OL unless you had elite athleticism like Jason KelceKreutz was quite dominate in the spring game/practice. It wasn't against top Big Ten Dline but he destroyed Daxon all game. There's no 1-year Juco OL going to beat him out as the starter. I'm wondering if some of this "We need a center" is smoke to lure in a backup, because there, Illinois may be weak.
I'll say as well as any OL at Illinois right now for the C position. A. Jones likely would have beat him out - the other OL Illinois is after - my guess is it's depth/competition related to the entire interior. I just don't see Kreutz getting beat out based on what (admit it's little) I've seen. He will do a nice job and won't need help on a double much more than Philstrom last year. But how well does he project against actual starting B1G linemen?
