How did he do?
Well MacArthur got waxed. I saw he had at least 1 TD, a 66 yard scamper that showed his talent. On this video you can see it at the 1:50 mark: Highlights

Rochester may have shut down the run because all of the highlights show MacArthur passing. I’d have just fed him the ball every time.

As a SDHS alum, it’s weird to see MacArthur playing at Stephen Decatur Middle School field. LOL.

Johnson-Cook finished with 93 rushing yards and one score on 10 carries, a large chunk coming from a 66-yard TD run at the start of the third.

Watched this video a few days ago and that one big run was still amazing. Johnson-Cook is the highlight reel to watch on an average team.

Looks like the team had to pass because Rochester was running it down their throats. I hope that coach gets creative cause if you just use him in the backfield the opposing defenses will key on Johnson-Cook. Different in size but he has the playmaking ability of IW. Flank him out, run WR/RB screens, etc. If Johnson-Cook gets any space he is moving the chains.

His size/speed is already eye-catching as a high school freshman. If his body continues to develop, then he will be a flat out cheat code. Kid is still learning the nuances of the game. I love that he’s wearing Illinois gloves…just hope he keeps them on for another 3+ years until Signing Day.

Did you notice that, at the end of his long TD run, he points to his Illini gloves? I think he was saying "That's for you Illini fans."

Yes I did and I’m hoping he doesn’t change out his gloves as he continues to garner college interest.

JUCO (Iowa Western) DB, FL native, 3 years of eligibility left:

Is this the same DB that played for NC State and was suspended indefinitely from the team? An obvious red flag but I'm also not sure how he still has 3 years of eligibility. Maybe 2 years?

2020 - Covid Year
2021 - Played
2022 - Played 4 games before suspension (redshirt?)
2023 - Playing at Iowa Western CC
