Major cause of type 2 diabetes. So are other things, but agreed. Id rather use regular cane sugar in moderation.I used to drink a long long time ago diet sodas with aspartame in it and suffered dizzy spells and migraines....my doctor way back then told me to stop ingesting it and all my ill's went away...........nasty stuff.............
I would like to comment that aspartame breaks down to formaldehyde in the liver. Thats what we embalm the dead with. Also there has been research correlating aspartame to alzheimers and lastly it dries up natural lubrication of the joints. When I stopped ingesting it, all my body - joint pain stopped. If you look, almost every brand of chewing gum has it in it. I agree with everything else you stated.
I’d rather use cane sugar in moderation. Beware of sugars hidden in processed foods btw. They sneak in carrying many names that don’t suggest sugar, hiding in long ingredient lists. Whole Foods for the win!I have always been told Splenda is the least of the evils when it comes to fake sugar type substitutes.
The fake sugars are causing issues with gut health, and gut health is being found to be a material contributor to many health issues (this is what they are talking about when you hear about probiotics, and eating fiber is important in this). I've been researching it and talking to doctors for some health challenges within my family, and some people have told me it has made a difference for them.I have always been told Splenda is the least of the evils when it comes to fake sugar type substitutes.
Only before during and after Illini wins, and while reading and responding on Loyalty. After losses think moderation.Does Miller lite count?
He spit on another player in a game late season, IIRC. That was enough for me.The off field stuff wasn’t worth those stats … Believe me …
Yep. I recommend still checking the labels at Whole Foods too. Even stuff that looks healthy there still has seed oils, preservatives, artificial flavors, gums, etc.I’d rather use cane sugar in moderation. Beware of sugars hidden in processed foods btw. Not to be weird, but I’m in my mid-30s, have a 6 pack + I get my blood tested every 6 months and I have every key indicator in range.
What I’ve found works best for me is to eat real food: raw / grass fed milk, grass fed steak, pasture raised chicken, pasture raised eggs, I cook in grass fed tallow / ghee, have organic fruit and veggies with every meal, consume .8 - 1 gram of protein per pound i weigh per day. I avoid seed oils (canola oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, palm oil, etc). In grocery store food I look for things with coconut oil or avocado oil.
I don’t count calories. I don’t care how much sugar I eat each day (I just eat real sugar, organic honey / maple syrup / cane sugar / fruit).
You can lose weight by simply restricting calories regardless of where those calories come from (which that alone can add years to your life), but eating real food helps even more.
P.S. remember to exercise.
