Good luck to Denzel in the future NFL career.
Oh didn't know what his eligibility is, all good then I hope.Staff has known that Daxon has exhausted his eligibility for a good while now (end of season timeframe). Shame for him and us. Obviously, DL has been portal priority #1. There are definitely some DL that we're hot after (Hastings, the NM/St. Louis guy), but another DL beside the one we're still seeking? Doubt it (too tight).

Classes start Tuesday the 16thDo transfers have to be here when classes start on Monday?
Wouldn't it be nice if he had a Domask-like impactWelcome Paul Rusk TE - FCS All American. Nose for the end zone 6 TDs
We improved this year but still don't throw to our tight ends enough. Tight ends like George Kittle and Travis Kelce can destroy the middle of a cover 2 zone or blow right by a linebacker in coverage. Much better to throw to TE across the middle on 3 and 10 instead of getting some poor slot receiver killed.

Swanson is an interesting piece. For those in the know, how is he progressing in his development as a quarterback? If he appears to be destined to be a 3rd-4th stringer, does he have the specific skills and overall athleticism to make a position change and be successful there?Probably looking for a qb willing to walk on like Ryan Johnson qb3 in the past. FCS level game experience but wanting to experience BiG.?
Unless staff thinks there is enough depth now with Swanson/michaux/ petty and they would likely play ahead of a walk on FCS qb
But is he a dude dude or just a dude? Asking for a dude.Keep stacking dudes and Rusk is a dude.

Watched a little of the East-West High School game in San Antonio and there are 3 players from Illinois playing. The TE from Woodstock is going to Clemson. 2 DL's from Chicago, Scott and Lightfoot (2025), are going to Miami and ND. Did Illinois have a shot at any of the 3? Also, Jeff Hecklinski's nephew is playing QB for the East.Simeon's Chris Burgess commits to ND. Their 3rd in-state '25 commit

Last I checked, ND was still in Indiana. Not quite an in-state commit for them.

I remember when the Chicago media acted like ND football was their home team. The OP was referring to 3 Illinois preps, not where ND is.
They probably will again once they start winning.I remember when the Chicago media acted like ND football was their home team.
