Why don't you call me sonetime when you have no class?
I've always blamed that show for the country twang that bleeds into my vocabulary. I watched it for the same reason you did Pru. Man those shorts were short.
Getting 3 stars (or less) into the NFL helps a lot too.As has been said multiple times on this board by multiple people....WIN and the kids will come. We can't have past history repeat itself where after every 10 win season we had regressed to mediocrity (or bad) in a year or two after that. We have to keep getting to those big bowl games and winning or at least competing. I believe there is a difference now with Josh, BB and his staff, the culture, etc., and we will not slip back into that mediocre level. Next year is set up for the Illini to have a big year...again...let's do that and see what happens next. As a long-suffering, 50+ year fan, I'm as stoked about this football program as I ever have been.
Yeah his offers list is pretty incredibleBarnett looks like a good pick up. 4star rb out of Florida. Lot of competition for him.
blimey, this is virtually the antithesis of a flash in the pan (hedged only because we're still in the beginning of the surge). we can win consistently with the current level of talent. and the level is rising. amazing!
I’m not sure he could have embraced and adapated to the NIL world, but if he’d had the money and willingness to play the game at that time, I think he would have done fine but he had neither. Underwood has embraced it and has an administration willing to back him. Thankful for Josh and BB being thought leaders in a new world. We are very fortunate and I hope all 3 stick around for a long time.![]()
Say what?
Came on in '69 when I was a sophomore in high school. We had one TV like many in our generation. Dad (from Tennessee) wanted to watch it to so I watched it too. Jokes were corny. Girls were hot. Developed a taste for classic country music.I've always blamed that show for the country twang that bleeds into my vocabulary. I watched it for the same reason you did Pru. host Roy Clark could play a banjo like no other. One of the worlds bestCame on in '69 when I was a sophomore in high school. We had one TV like many in our generation. Yes, you are spot on with this...this is huge, as well, and is certainly intertwined. In fact, Devon Witherspoon was 0 stars coming out of high school. From 0 stars to a #5 pick in the draft...WOW!Getting 3 stars (or less) into the NFL helps a lot too.
yupSome players just have it. There's been guys bigger stronger and faster than Witherspoon, but some guys just play football at a whole different level.
