Personally, I think it’s great that Alabama is trying to poach one of our commits. I’d hate to lose him or any others, but this is a far cry from the days when we were competing for recruits with Ball State, Western Michigan and the Devry Institute of Technology.
agree

if the staff keeps doing the hard work, we will keep thr vast majority of the recruits & maybe even flip a few from other programs . it’s all a part of recruiting the best players .

and now , the recruiting of the best players doesn’t stop when they sign letters if intent or enroll , it continues all five years of possible eligibility .

as someone who knows more than a little, but not a lot about football

with his speed, why would Tywan Cox not be more valuable as a WR vs CB ?
football nfl GIF by nss sports

His dad played in the NFL for five years at cornerback, his brother has the instincts of an elite NFL cornerback and they both hit like a Mack truck.

I live in Melissa, TX now (North Dallas) and they have a soon to be Soph running back Bear Tabor I wish we’d get in touch with. Already over 20 D1 offers. My son also about to have his senior season at Melissa as kicker. Looking for a great season and a chance to play football in college somewhere.

was not even coming close comparing the difficulty of the positions, just responding with what is a basic level concept of how a lot of players end up going from one side of the ball to the other. I’ve seen gross on here (and engaged at times), my response was casually pg.

Corner backs are usually not as tall. Receivers dictate the route so CB have to be able to recover and change directions faster. So maybe his height.

Love your posts, but L-P being downstate?

It's the I80 Mason Dixon line of the state, isn't it?

😜

Jayson Johnson, a top 5 active CB at the highest level of the game, is extremely underselling himself.
Wouldn't you agree he has been in the position to have a couple more interceptions a year...? Because he basically said that and challenged himself to have better hands...agree he's top 5...

I don't know how important of a stat interceptions is as a metric of corner productivity. If you give up 150 yards and a td or two who cares if you generated an extra possession?

Receivers also don't have to tackle players like DJ Henry, AJ Brown, etc.
