For those of you like me who need a refresher on the format of the championship every year:
Players will first compete in three 18-hole rounds of stroke play competition.
Following the third round, the field for both the men and women will be cut to the top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on an advancing team.
The fourth round of stroke play will take place, at which point the individual national champion will be crowned. Also following the fourth round, the field will be cut to the top eight teams to move on to the match-play bracket, which will be seeded in order of finish in stroke play.
A knockout match play competition will then take place to determine the team national champion.

Is the individual national champion based off of total score or just that last round?
Individual champion is the low 72 hole score.

I was curious what kind of scores can we expect at Grayhawk. Last year at the end of stroke play, the top 15 teams were between +14 and +33. In 2021 the range was -3 to +25. Only one team in the last two years was under par after 4 rounds.
GolfStat still has last year's stats up including course stats - here are all 18 holes ordered by difficulty in 2022. Overall the course played by an average +4.13, with a slightly easier front nine (+1.89) than back nine (+2.24).

Looks like Buchanan with the first eagle in the tournament so far - nice!
Matthis with an rough start especially since 10/11 are 2 of the easier holes. Would love to see how jackson eagled 12. That’s one of the hardest holes. He’s so talented. Piercen also a slow start. We just need to be around even today maybe +4-5 at the worst. It’s playing tough today and the course is not forgiving but if you’re hot you can do well. Like streelman on GT.
