Ole miss in danger of missing out after a horrendous start. Stanford is a worse team than them but they’re at a familiar course. I think ole miss was the 2 seed in the region?
Illini in 1st place up 26 shots on 6th place team, I don't see how they won't be top 5. Bet beach houses on this one.
ucla needs a big front 9 before they head to the tougher overall back 9. Stanford and ole miss will gain on them in the front 9.
And ranked #7, according to final coaches' poll. Florida State, #6. Illinois #18.
So much for the rankings. It's golf.

The only question with Illinois is first or 2nd. I think because an and m isn’t looking great. Jackson still struggling poor kid hope he bounces back for the ncaa championship. Getting a good Voois round finally!
Yes. If you're in position to win the regional, win the danged thing. Illinois doesn't need to send a message to the college golf world; everybody knows Illinois is a college golf power. I don't want to mention any names, but the initials of the person most responsible are Mike Small.
I really doubt Coach addressed the team this morning, saying "Hi, fellas. Good morning, rise and shine! Did you sleep well? Have a great breakfast and have a nice day out there. Have fun!"

Could see four of the top 10 not make it to Carlsbad (ASU, Bama, Arkansas, Washington).
I just want to see that Regional Championship banner hanging from the, uh...where ever the golf team hangs its banners. Coach Small's garage?
I don't believe so, but could be wrong.
Illinois will likely finish with the highest score across all regionals. -34 under now next best is Texas at -27 fsu -25 etc
There’s some at Atkins but not banners more trophies. Maybe demirjian?
I’m guessing this is it. So if Illinois likes the first early morning seeding then winning would be good for them.
Funny. Thanks. I think there's a shrine at a place called Demirjian for Illini trophies and maybe banners. Got to do a pilgrimage there soon and play Atkins.
