I wonder if we might target Chris Giles from Findlay Prep, 2017 shooting guard who is still uncommitted and was being recruited by Underwood at OSU?

So everyone here makes fun of Missouri and other programs for being shady and now Illinois hires Orlando and is after Bragg Jr. New day in Illinois Athletics. I'm okay with it but let's not act like Illinois is full of saints.

Just win baby

"Everyone"

But generally, yes, it's true Illini fans tend to see things through orange & blue colored lenses. Shocking, I know.

I think you will be disappointed if you think that.

You will be disappointed in the long run with Martin. You can't hire daddies all the time to get top players. He has shown that even with NBA talent like he had at Cal that he is a mediocre bench coach.

There is enough talent in STL to keep it going. Martin will do well at Missouri

You'll be disappointed after Missouri makes the tourney and continually loses in the first round.

there are programs that are downright dirty, and then there are all the others. There is no such thing as programs that are clean as fresh fallen snow

Football his its share of downright dirty programs as does basketball. Oftentimes there is no connection between this sleaze factor at the school that "supports" these two programs. I do not think we are downright dirty in either sport nor have we really ever been, but we do have a reputation, perhaps earned unfairly , perhaps it is fair , of being on the "not always clean" side of the spectrum. Maybe its due to our state, maybe its Chicago, maybe its the 1960's bs that was reinforced in some peoples minds due to football's 1980's issues and basketballs 1990's issues.

regardless , we don't live in a glass house. nor does ND, NW, IU, scUM, PedSt, nor O$U. I will never be so naïve as to think that we never , ever , do anything wrong. That program does not exist.

In your case, fauxmentum.

Lol you don't think Mizzou has Momentum? New coach, #1 recruit in the country, Tilmon is coming to Mizzou, and Knox is looking likely (yeah I said it haha), and add Blake harris to the likely. That is momentum whether you want to admit it or not.

It will be short-lived. It's there, but it's probably not sustainable.
