He plays on the same front line with Jontay Porter and Carte'Are Gordon.

Also, BU recruits for fit in his offense not on ratings or big stats. As another poster noted, NW, Wisconsin and others are in on Hall.

Every high school basketball player in America is a good fit for BU's system according to this board.

Yes, it sounds like it sometimes, but the ones we know are a good fit for sure are the ones he offers.

An observation for guys worried about our lack of height next year. Last year BU played 2 guys over 6'8" for a total of less than 29 minutes a game. He will make the offense work, but my worry is how we will do defensively against some of the big half court conference teams.

Of the six leading scorers on Oklahoma State last year, 5 were guards, only the number 4 guy, Hammonds was a big. Might be easier to do that in the Big 12 but he does have experience with that kind of set-up.

This is why Tilmon suddenly changed his mind. Cuonzo got in his ear about not getting the ball in BU's system. Frank Cusamano was interviewed on WDWS last week and he even quoted the post touches stat for OSU last year - I believe he said it was 2% of OSU possessions.

I don't believe that for one second. How many possessions did they average per game? Heck, even if it was 100 that would only mean 2 touches. No way thats the case. 20% maybe, but not 2.

OSU averaged 74 possessions/game last year. 2% would be 1.5 touches/game down low. That sounds impossible.

Assuming we can get 2 more for 2017 Smith and Badocchi? Any chance we stick with 4 recruits and roll 2 into 2018? Seems like a lot of action into those offers and players as of late?

Rofl if you think this is why Tilmon changed his mind.

If you're a big man who can run the floor if anything his pace is going to somewhat mask some flaws in a big's half court offense.

He may have said this to him but let's not sit here and pretend that's what changed his mind.

Even if it's true it's probably because BU tailored the offense to his personnel. A good post guy is gonna get a pick and roll look, a post look after the roll, and high low post look on the first reversal pass out of the pick and roll. 3 successive post looks per ball reversal in the continuity. Maybe osu just wasn't built to take advantage of that part of the offense.

We know here at IL that this is balderdash. It's a fact that all basketball players are a perfect fit for BU's system.

So after he was hired, BU told Tilmon, "You're a great fit for our system." Then Cuonzo tells Tilmon, "You're not a good fit for their system." Is this really how it goes down?

First according to ESPN stats Leyton Hammonds (6'8") 22.4 mpg & Mitchell Solomon (6'9") 20.1 mpg, (>29 mpg) & that is not counting the 7' freshman who averaged 8.5 mpg over 28 games. They also had quite a few minutes from players 6'6" & 6'7" (most significant is Carroll 6'6" at 29.1 mpg)

We only have 1 guy over 6'8", Black & DJ at 6'7" & Kipper at 6'6" & no true 5.

With as much as BU talks about the flying Illini I really am not to worried about Height as long as we have guys with some hops.
