BOOM! Feed my ego.
Tigerboard person also posted this,
East St Louis source just told me: Tilmon prefers to keep silent on the recruiting process for a while.

I could have been a source for that bit of info, and I'm in no way connected. :D

I had a nice talk with @frankiejones23 about his recruitment. Illinois and Virginia both options but seems like hes leaning towards
Illinois

Well you could ask, WAS the hat truly in the bag? yes we saw a bag on the table with what looked like a hat inside it, BUT no one saw the hat in the bag nor him take the hat out of the bag. It only looked as if he took the hat from there. So the hat was never on the table as there is no 100% proof to it.

More reason you cannot make that Internet bet potentially banning yourself :thumb:

Keep up the good posting BMo (and sorry to stray off topic Dan )

It's also funny to hear a limited amount of games to draw information from being a good thing in Mark Smith's case and a bad thing in Mitch Trubisky's case.

A franchise quarterback is not the same as a 3rd PG on a college team's basketball roster. If Mitch does not work out, the Bears will suffer in mediocrity or worse for years. The Illini already have a decent PG and decent looking back up in Trent. College ball for the most part is all about targeting and developing potential college talent. In the NFL a team can sign a vet to fill missing piece. And a franchise QB is huge.

Follow these two on twitter and you should get a lot of updates on Illini recruits. Meanstreets just tipped off, waiting for MIF to start.

Starting the live period off watching 2018 wing Tim Finke & Meanstreets over here in Indy.

and, again, if you're a total junkie like me, sign up here for 20 bucks a month and get wall to wall basketball from Friday night to Sunday afternoon for 3 more weekends and then Peach Jam In July.

I feel like trying to interpret Twitter activity as a true indicator of a prospect's leanings is one of the worst message board memes out there... yet I fall for it every time. I'll take a Badocchi commit anytime.

It's just so hard to ignore simple retweets and follows and such when it is coming straight from the recruit. Could mean everything, could mean nothing.

You're right. A lot of it depends on the quality of the kid. Mark's Twitter told the story the last five days of his recruitment 100%. There was no way he was going to "play" Illinois with his Mannie Jackson connection and the quality of his parents. Francesco seems to be a good kid also and his Twitter is singing IL.

With someone like Cliff it's the complete opposite.

Maybe we should start to celebrate if Trent Frazier starts posting pictures of spaghetti, or something.

DaW seems to be physically similar to MS. Seeing the quickness makes me very hopeful about a good defensive team. Need the 5 but quickness allows help defense and opposing teams could not guard MM without help. Believe defense is the critical factor next year. They will score!

Has there been any update on DaW knee. Have assumed he would redshirt next year to recover. Been ignored in most discussions but he has talent.

I mean personally if I was a college basketball player I think my own fans speculating publicly that I wasn't good enough to play for their school would not be even remotely similar to someone misspelling my name.

The subjunctive mood is the verb form used to express a wish, a suggestion, a command, or a condition that is contrary to fact. In this case, use of the subjunctive mood would dictate "was" becomes "were", as in "If I were a college basketball player . . . "

:chief:

As they say, I'll show myself out.
