The way I’m interpreting this is that Griffin should be a 4 star in the final reranks? If so, and we land Ramey we would have have three 4 stars and a 5 star all who are wings and guards.

Really like where this team is going to go defensively with the right coaching. The length of Tevian, Griffin, and Damonte on the wings is going to cause havoc with our pressure along with the speed of Ayo and Trent. Samba and Greg will be the room protectors we haven't had since Egwu. Kipper at the 4 will be the biggest question mark as he is more of a wing and will be playing out of place, but the length elsewhere should help. There will be a lot of growing pains next year with learning the system, but think by the end of the year we could be a dangerous team.

I do not see Kipper playing the 4 anymore. Ibo, Georgi and Samba should be the bigs (maybe a 5th year). Kipper and Tevian could share time at the 3.

Where do you see Jordan fitting in?

There's not enough offense on the floor with those three being our only bigs. Kipper saw tick at the 4 with Black, Finke and Ebo. He'll see time at the 4 (and it will probably be significant). We have a lot of talent and depth at the 1-3 and that's a way to get more playing time for those players.

Liking what this class is shaping up to be. How natural of defenders are these kids, because I’m seeing another year of a ton of fouls playing our style. I hope we can keep a group together for a few years and put something really special by 2020/21.

I think I like the one with kendall, nick, bardo, Larry Smith, and the #1 in the nation Ben Wilson...plus Jeff Finke who was hurt...later battle of course transferred . If this class or any class does better than that I'd be estatic!
The one with Bruce Douglas, Efrem MCDAA game MVP was good one as well,

Ben Wilson would have been in the Class of 1985 with Lowell Hamilton. Also, he was not going to publicly commit to anyone until spring per Bob Hambric's rules. Lou Henson only had two open scholarships for the fall (one was committed to Hamilton), so he slowplayed Ed Horton, and Horton signed with Iowa. As it turned out, there were more rides available in the spring, since Tom Shafer and Scott Haffner transferred. Curtis Taylor joined Lowell in the 1985 class.

The loaded Class of 1986 included Nick Anderson, Larry Smith, Kendall Gill, Steve Bardo, Jeff Finke, Ervin Small, and Phil Kunz. Plus NIU transfer Kenny Battle.

1982: Efrem Winters, Bruce Douglas, Doug Altenberger, Scott Meents, and Reggie Woodward. They also signed Ken Colliers-Norman, but he spent one year playing for Mark Coombes at Wabash Valley JuCo.

The 1969 class led by top 5 recruit Nick Weatherspoon was rated #1 in the country. Others: Alvin O'Neal, Jim DeDecker, Jed Foster, Nick Conner, and Larry Cohen.
