So how well have the top JUCO recruits made the transition to high major basketball in past years (specifically PG's)?
I just have a hard time thinking the staff would take a Feliz commitment if Ramey is still on the fence. If you slow play Feliz and miss out, oh well we still have Frazier and Ayo. Plus Damonte can play emergency PG in a pinch.
Sounds like Duke has four of their current players declaring for the draft & of course tripper was Senior.
& B Hinson is taking a OV at Ole Miss on Friday & their new coach has been pushing hard to get him. Know his OV at IL is at the end of the month. Will we still have an open spot?
Jones what I have seen on tape looks like the real deal. There is not a lot of tape out there on Ramey that I have seen. Those that have seen him, how would you say he compares to Coleman-Lands?
I was talking about Groce missing plan A guys and not having a good backup plan. Which is partly why BU is left picking up all the pieces.
Trying to manage recruiting time and resources is an art form. Knowing who to go after, when to back out, and how to slow play without slow playing is pretty important. From an outsider's perspective this seems like the perfect time to swing for the fences and risk striking out. Groce did that and struck out a couple times when he couldn't afford to.
But who knows, maybe the staff is really in love with Feliz and he's the perfect fit alongside Ayo and Frazier for the three-headed monster we've been dreaming of since 2005.
Pierre Jackson? Carl Landry?
I think Landry was a one and done Juco Guy. Put up some solid numbers.
That is the kind of thinking that has gotten us where we are, left holding the bag. From the timing, it looks like Antigua knows Feliz and likes him. Underwood will lay it out for Ramey, they want him badly, but cannot wait. If he does not commit tomorrow, they will accept Feliz. Ramey and his dad are worried about Courtney having the ball, at the end of games. They saw what Trent Frazier did last year and Ayo likes the ball also. So if BU cannot convince Courtney and his dad that he will be the man, he will be gone. The number 1 PG in Junior College isn't a bad backup plan.:thumb:
One of the things i'd look at were i Ramey is young Porter is most likely gone after next year if not this one (late first round in one mock draft} and Tilmon possibly gone after next year. And if Liddell goes elsewhere do i want to be there.
C.J. Jackson/tOSU PG made a pretty good transition from JUCO to HM. Freddie McSwain, albeit not a PG, was a good JUCO transition. Both B1G examples.
I thought Ramey’s comparison was poor man’s Russell Westbrook(not my words)
IDK...but this video link shows pretty impressive court vision and passing skills for a 3...JMO.Is Griffin a rich man's Aaron Jordan?

I completely agree with this article and the reference to scum and Belein is very telling ...we weren't making it with the former roster and letting BU get his own players in and rebuilding the program from the ground up is the best way, IMHO///
Mr. Ramey, come on down and help us get back to the level prominence that we all want....

Also interesting to see that they (Ramey and Liddell) really do not seem to like each other.
If he's taking an OV doesn't that put the issue to bed? Juniors can't take official visits yet.
