Four in pursuit of R150 Frazier

Illinois: “They are recruiting me really hard right now. They are on me the hardest. The best relationship I have with any coaching staff right now is Illinois. They take care of their players there.”

RIVALS’ REACTION: The most surprising aspect of Frazier’s recruitment is that there aren’t more schools, especially those in the southeast, involved with him. Illinois has taken advantage of that and they appear to have the edge right now going into the summer. A big summer from Frazier could definitely lead to more options for him.

I think Frazier will be an Illini.

I'm getting a vibe that he'll wait for the bigger offers to come, which I would be really surprised if it didn't happen.

Just because he'll go through the process doesn't mean we won't remain at the top of his list. Though not sure I'd want to go to school in the middle of nowhere Illinois when I grew up in Florida.

If I recall, Derek Harper had a pretty nice career at Illinois coming out of Florida.

Sell him on playing in the snow!

Same area, too, both out of Palm Beach County. Trent has seen the orange and blue during his season, too

Terrence Lewis w a pair of 3s & slick drive through traffic. Long strides for elite athlete

Terrence Lewis is a beast! He was a borderline top-100 kid a year ago and the main questions were his outside shot and whether he had a true position. Strengths were always that he was a good athlete with an elite motor and a knack for rebounding. A lot of similarities to Jordan Goodwin in terms of questions about his game translating to the P5 level.

Since then, outside shooting has become a strength, he's grown 2 inches and filled out, and he performed at an elite level last high school season. His athleticism has gone from good to top-notch. He's still a monster in terms of rebounding and hustle plays. I don't think the kid has any glaring weaknesses. Kind of a late bloomer who could end up in McDAA territory. Really hope we get him!

Realistic but optimistic 2017 dream class at this point:

Da'Monte Williams - CG
Jordan Goodwin - G
Terrence Lewis - G/F
Javon Pickett - G/F
Theo John - PF/C
Jeremiah Tilmon - PF/C

You could easily swap in another playmaker like Trent Frazier for Theo John. I know we don't need three wings, but Pickett's already on board and you can't turn down Goodwin or Lewis - those guys are program builders. The only thing I'm confident about is that our final class will probably look nothing like this :)

Not sure about realistic, as the word usually implies good chances, but this is more of a dream scenario of getting all of the best players we are heavily involved with.

I just mean realistic in terms guys we're known to be involved with, who have consistently listed us. I would consider Brian Bowen and Kris Wilkes unrealistic. That said, I don't feel confident about any of the names on my list. I'd be happily surprised if we got any two of Lewis, Goodwin, Tilmon, John, and Frazier. Semantics, I guess.

Still can't figure out the Bowen transfer to LaLu and then playing with Meanstreets.

That would be one nasty athletic and competitive class. Goodwin and Lewis remind me of guys that MSU would get...kind of that "we are going to win" player
