Hope to catch Da'monte in Hampton, VA as well as other recruiting targets. The writer should use BLUF (bottom line up front) and lose the rest of the article.

I don't subscribe to if you finish 2nd your first loser, but in recruiting finishing second might be the "biggest loser". Holding your breath while waiting for a recruit and passing on others has hurt Weber and Groce. If you can afford to wait like Illinois could for Deron Williams (Dee committed, Snacks was the backup) or Alexander (had Mav, Corbert, Black, and Paul) but otherwise start closing out the class (TJL over Moore, wise decision).

I would be very happy with Terrence Lewis and 2-3 bigs (Tilmon, Kiir, John, Justin Brown/Marist kid) in the class of 2017. The 6-9 Marist kid is a bit of a project, needs to add weight. He has good footwork and motor. What happens if this 16-17 y/old ends up at 6-10 to 6-11, redshirts and gains 20 lbs.

I've noticed a lot of players are tweeting that they're 'blessed' when they receive offers. Any offers. I would love it if someone slipped and said 'I received an offer from Lehigh yesterday, and I'm really pissed.'

As an Illini fan I would be blessed to get one more SG/WF between (Goodwin, Lewis, Eastern) and 2-3 bigs (Tilmon, John, Kiir, Culver, "the field"). Tired of getting beat up inside and out rebounded.

Aside from Tilmon and Goodwin, Terrence Lewis is on my wish list. At the next level I'm not sure if he can put the ball on the floor and create for himself at this stage, but otherwise I literally don't think the kid has a weakness. Built physique, athletic, long arms, rebounds very well, plays tough, has all the tools to be a lock down defender, and is lighting it up from 3. I want.

Depends on what happens to Thorne,Nunn, Tate and Abrams. I don't think you will see all 4 turn out positively, so thus a need for a combo guard. Not everybody has or will have ships available this late and we might fall in the available category.
