Krutwig and Curbelo would have the offense humming with passes zipping around. For those that watch Loyola - How’s his defense?
Not good enough for BU to give him PTKrutwig and Curbelo would have the offense humming with passes zipping around. For those that watch Loyola - How’s his defense?
Kid plays for LoyolaDon't forget Krutwig. By the way who is Krutwig?
Don’t think that’s happening.Cameron Kruftwig, C Loyola, Il. One of the most efficient centers in the country. Would be a great 1 year replacement for Kofi. Rumblings he is a grad transfer would like to finish up close to home. Algonquin, Ill.
He’s not bad defensively. Pretty good hands. Has trouble with long athletic centers.Krutwig and Curbelo would have the offense humming with passes zipping around. For those that watch Loyola - How’s his defense?
So does everyone. He’s not bad defensively. Pretty good hands. Has trouble with long athletic centers.
Krutwig outplayed Reuvers this season head to head and played even with Potter. He's BIG ready. Go get him BU.
My hypothesis...is maybe that's what BU was teasing about at OSU press conf....Krutwig verbal commit?Krutwig’s skill let lends well to BU’s spread. But his big body and good hands also lends well to keeping with the pick and roll stuff we currently do. He’d be an interesting add in terms of what philosophy BU would move forward with post Kofi and Ayo.
Where has this talk been outside of IL Board?A lot of talk about players not coming to Illinois. We could use a 4 with some length, any serious possiblities?

I agree that we need that bouncy wing type (was the last one Brian Randle?) but I really want to see us add someone who can drive to the basket and finish. As of now Curbelo is the only one on next year's roster that I would trust doing that. Can Miller (and maybe Hawkins) improve on that before next season? Sure, but I'd still like more of them on the roster. No clue but objectively 2021 has been a dumpster fire in regards to recruiting. We had 5 or 6 wings visit for the last game of the season in a thriller where we ended it with Kofi blocking Garza and landed 1 of the 5 wings there on that visit and he wasn't one of the above the rim bouncy types we needed.
It's nice to have a skilled forward coming and Goode will fill a role at Illinois sooner rather than later but we need a bouncy forward type and probably another big that is ready to contribute by his sophomore year. Maybe Lieb is that guy but I wouldn't necessarily count on it.
Is there a connection with him and Adam Miller? Any word on why it didn't work out for him at Texas Tech?

No official confirmation, but their fans seem to be speculating it's some combination of not enough minutes, poor culture fit, homesickness, and/or a lack of patience due to the influence of outsiders telling him that he should be a one-and-done.Any word on why it didn't work out for him at Texas Tech?
