Tevian Jones at least appears to be improving his shooting. 3pt % at 36% up from 29%, FT % at 87% up from 69%.

Jones would be an VVG add to our class. Thing is, is he willing to leave Cali? If so, think we have a decent shot.
Says he has a lot of family in Chicago. Confident we lead at this point, but his recruitment won't kick up until his season is over.

Tevian Jones would be a GREAT get imo, he has some Curry/Durant in his game, very fluid player. Not sure how much he would help in rebounding department as he is slender for B1G, but we need athletes first and foremost!

I don't audibly laugh often when on the internet but this line did it for me.

I don’t know if Tevian will ever be yoked like Kipper, but he’ll certainly get bigger and stronger under Fletch.
He's got a very strange body. He's very long, very lean, but also has a strong build. It looks like he's got a small frame, so he'll never be huge, but his build is fine as is.

How many have we been after? It's hard to jump in late, especially with big men because they are in such high demand.

Colin Castleton, he seemed enamored with Florida and Michigan even when they hadn't offered, we were the leader of teams that actually offered.

This seems like revisionist history to me. There was constant talk about him really wanting a Florida offer, but I don't remember any similar conversation about Michigan until after he committed. Either way, I'm with you on that it was a really difficult recruiting loss. Would feel significantly better about the 2019 team if he was signed.

He repeatedly mentioned Michigan even when they hadn’t offered

Just had a conversation at work about Liddell. I was told his dad played against Conzo when they were younger, and have a relationship. Does anyone know if this is true?

Apologize if this is old news

apologize if this has already been discussed.

Herard is signed up for Illinois classes but hasn't made his next college choice yet. All things considered would rather have him enrolled at Illinois instead of Maryland

They are both from ESL so that seems about right. Although Tommy went to SLU.

The only way out of this is through recruiting. Tevian Jones, Schnider Herard, EJ Liddell, Francis Okoro, and Kahlil Whitney would go a long way towards turning this around.

Of course we're Illinois and actually landing our top targets never happens. Someone devise a list of plan Bs and Cs so we can get an idea of what the team will look like.

Ayo and Smith were top targets and we landed them so not sure how you can say that. Those are just two most recent examples. We have enough talent to at least win a few games in the B1G. They just clearly didn't show up tonight.

And we missed on Landers Nolley, missed on Colin Castleton, missed on Talen Horton-Tucker. That's how I can say that. The list of misses since Bill Self left is very very long.

I bet Michigan States list of misses is more impressive than ours!?!?!

I can’t confirm that, but last summer I played golf with a buddy of West AD and he said EJ would be tough to get away from Missouri. I didn’t put much stock in it bc I ignore any recruiting news that isn’t what I want to hear.

I don’t know th guy personally. I just remember thinking that John Denver’s full of !!!!

Finishing last in conference, losing EJ to Mizzou, and missing out on Okoro would pretty much cripple BU's tenure here. He would have to be one heck of a coach to overcome those 3 things.

To say EJ and Okoro's recruitments are huge is the understatement of the century.
