Do Illinois classes start today? Does that put any time limit on when he'd have to enroll to pay able to play for us starting next September?

Needs to decide VERY soon. At any rate, not available till end of fall semester.

Sorry, thought December and typed September. Not many games in September:eek:

Kind of reminds me of Ed Morrow with his tenacity. Undersized but makes up for it with athleticism and effort. But not the best video so who knows.

Exactly what I was thinking. Also, it's rare to see an entire highlight video without even 1 single jump shot, and without ANY passes. Not that I'm opposed to a guy with a high motor, great rebounding, and angry, aggressive dunking. But dunking everything at JUCO and dunking everything in the B1G are very different things. He may eventually need a jump shot to keep having those opportunities at the rim.

The McDonald's All-Americans are announced today at 2.

So far I haven't heard that any local player made the team, and Chicago is really bad at keeping basketball "secrets." So that isn't a good sign.

It would be the third consecutive year with no burger boy from the state.

With our luck THT makes it and not Ayo.:)

State of Illinois shut out of McDonald's All-American Game for third straight year.
No Ayo Dosunmu or Talen Horton-Tucker.

Honestly not surprising. Neither one of these guys are what that game is about, i.e. uber-athleticism, dunks, and flashy plays. Its also tougher to make it as a PG (especially in that class) and it certainly didn't help that Ayo has been injured. It felt like he was trying to rush back to get in another couple headline performances before this selection.

With this over, hopefully Ayo can focus on getting healthy and working on his game.

Guess the ankle injury didn't help. Too bad. Wanted him to represent Illinois in the game.

The McAA game has lost its appeal IMHO. Ayo will showcase his game at another allstar game.

Ayo didn't help himself when he was outplayed, head to head, by James Akinjo, UConn recruit at the Tark Classic plus Jamal Bey was named MVP of that tournament. Throw in the politics and you can see the non selection. He'll come with a chip on his shoulder though, thus the WhyNotMe#tag.

It’s moving to Georgia this year
Just making room for Amazon. :D

So, what's the point of the McDAA teams being called East and West? The vast majority of the players this year are from the east. The most ridiculous team sorting is that the 2 players from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia are on opposite teams... :tsk:
