I don't disagree with you on this point. I do think that so far, Williams has proven his worth much more than Smith has. One thing I've learned as a coach is that potential is great and every coach wants players that have potential. But if potential doesn't become reality on the court, it doesn't mean squat. Smith and Williams have to improve for next year or they will quickly be replaced by players like Ayo and potentially Ramey.
Disagree on Williams here. Damonte is already one of our better defenders and probably our best rebounding guard as a freshman. Can't assume a player even of Ramey's caliber won't struggle defensively out of the gates. We are very lucky that both Williams and Frazier have adapted well defensively in year 1.
