Piper still has us down with CBs for Trice & Jacobs after adding Tevian. I'd believe him more if he bumped one of them.

Clearly am not objective here, am over twice the age of a 17 year olds mind set & likely a bit naive. But from a players point of view. I would rather be a part of a scenario that raises the bar to new heights than try to maintain what was the past.

A mix of our current team with the additions of Ayo & Tevian would bring the spotlight to them for all of the right reasons.

From 2/12/18 Illinois’ only current commit — five-star point guard Ayo Dosunmu — has been in constant contact with Jones, and the duo seems to have formed a good relationship. It is unknown how much Dosunmu can help in the recruitment of Jones, but landing a wing like him would be a huge get for Underwood and the Illini.

Ayo, Jones, and Gordon would do it for me. There really isn't anyone on the roster I am ready to give up on at this point.

Maybe Shareef can be our new big guy, if he ask out of his release with Arizona and come as a package deal with Tevian.

He didn't sign a NLOI, just a financial aid (scholarship) application which is non binding. He doesn't need to ask out of anything.

Old timers on here might remember Shaq took an OV to illinois and has spoken highly of us in the past.
