From what I understand, It's just a matter of making it official which should happen soon.

The big man is on board

Thanks for the info, but I feel like we've been in this holding pattern awhile now ... I just want it to actually happen. Not sure why, if he was 100% on board, he wouldn't want to play this tournament as and "Illinois commit" but as long as he eventually does, I'm happy.

Maybe he thinks the announcement would be a distraction for his team during the tournament.

There's a lot of smoke, but is it confined to this thread here on Illinois Loyalty?

From what I'm hearing (from a couple of posts I've read on here), it looks good for the Illini and Tilmon. :D

LALU

- Brian Bowen is going to be a star wherever he goes. Hopefully we have a chance. Maybe friends with Tilmon or JCL??

- Tilmon has all the tools to be a great player. If he can learn to play with a Jordan Goodwin motor....watch out!!

- ICL reminds me of Glynn Watson.

- Tyger Campbell is one of my favorites to watch. Didn't have the best shooting game but hes exactly what you look for in a great PG.

Also, Isaiah Colemand-Lands has the same smooth stroke as his brother. Hopefully he can grow a couple more inches.

Great kid, too. Talked with him at the Minnesota home game next to his brother. They weren't too happy about being left out of the Dick's tournament last year and wanted to prove something in this year's tournament.

Damonte plays for the Fire...

I'm aware.

However, I would say that the combination of him being the son of one of Illinois all-time greats, and the fact that he is from downstate made it a little bit tougher for the Irvin's to get in his ear and try to draw him away from Illinois.
