Fair, but could you imagine another big ten school's fan base not reacting similarly? An out of state recruit injured by a player from the same town as the school? It's hilariously ironic imo.
I'm trying not to look at it as a foul on a recruit of my favorite team, but as just a foul in a basketball game. I have a hard time calling it a dirty play if there isn't obvious signs of an intent to cause harm (shove, trip, body slam, etc...) In that situation your taught to prevent the layup, aka foul and make sure it's enough to prevent the and 1. The kid was just doing what he was taught, and got a little too physical doing it in a split second play. Unfortunately for us it had a bad ending, but it's the exact same kind of play we would have all been defending Leron for last season.
