We made the final five for Kris Wilkes?! Wow!

So, if we land Wilkes, Scruggs and Kiir, will that stop the lamenting over Goodwin? BTW, I'm not expecting those three to finish out the class.

brings up an interesting scenario...which would you rather have?

1) Frazier, Wilkes, and Kiir or

2) Frazier, Wilkes, and Scruggs

Obviously I know this is unlikely to happen, but for discussions sake

Wilkes and Tilmon are main pieces that get you to the championship level.

They would be walking rockstars here.

Four star SFs might balk at joining a team that have junior DJW and soph KN, but Wilkes thinks he can beat those guys out. Trying not to get to excited, but that adding Wilkes would put us on the elite team path.

Kris Wilkes is probably a one and done anywhere he goes right? If he did come here, and was one and done, it would give us another 18 scholarship.

Option 2. We take Frazier next week and we then convince Wilkes and Scruggs to join Tilmon as the 3 headed monster to lead us to glory in a newly renovated SFC. Goodwin who?

from a UNC board --
UPDATE 8/10: Accordingly to Brian Snow of Scout.com, Wilkes and his family have called off the official visit to UNC.
I'm sure we have a number of teams to jump for Wilkes but we already jumped UNC so we might as well dream. Be something to get two of their top recruits in a single year.

I think the most likely option is Frazier and rolling 2 to 2018, where we are in on some very talented guys.

I would love to add another big though...going to be very lean there if we don't.

I would say that is not very likely at all. No way we don't fill 2 scholarships

Has Kiir set up any OVs??? I looked on Scout and didn't see anything.

Great job by Groce getting in the mix with many top prospects. Really hope he can close on a couple more.

Number one by far for me. Frazier starts his official here in 5 days. Getting his commitment on the official would soothe some open sores from Goodwin, gives us some recruiting momentum, and fills a position of need.
