Lol if you believe there is a chance they hold out on Scruggs then your absolutely delusional. Not going to hold out for something that will not happen. That lesson has been learned and will not end up empty handed holding out a small amount of Hope for Scruggs. Frazieris ready they will accept it on the spot and not think twice about it.

It may not be us. Maybe Frazier waits to see about Scruggs before he commits. I have no knowledge or info just speculating.

Academics were the biggest part. A lack of teachers at your high school certainly falls into the "academics" bucket I'd say.

And now academics is being given as the reason for his transfer back, to have his mom more involved with keeping up with his studies.

There's no secret here. Tilmon may not qualify. But there's a difference between may not and isn't going to. If he couldn't do what he had to in a year, we wouldn't have accepted the commitment. It's just going to be about getting it done in the classroom and on the ACT.
Can D-rose's take the ACT for him?

Tejon, Frazier, and Damonte will form solid group of ball handlers. Great competition for the starting spot, but PG types will get their share of minutes as starters, back-ups, or in two PG sets (Deron, Dee).

Need to look at shore up the future of the bigs position.

Just stop it - the odds of getting both are about as minuscule as the odds were of getting both Brunson and Evans. If we get just one of them we should be delighted.

I didn't say we were getting both. Of course Groce is going to put the full court press on to get him to commit. But if Frazier is a guy that wants the keys from day 1 then he will probably wait to see what happens with Scruggs.

I'm not saying he will, but it's a very real possibility. Just don't want people to start freaking out if he leaves without committing.

Haha, come on man don't you know that's the definition of insanity. :D

A Frazier commit would be just what the doctor ordered for the ball-ache left over from last week. :chief:

Again, no chance with Scruggs...

I'd be surprised if that visit actually happens.

Honestly, I've always thought Scruggs as a long shot anyway, so by hopefully landing Frazier is just as big as a commitment as Scruggs.

Pickett, Williams, Tilmon, and Frazier. That's a hell of a class. Add Kiir and rollover the last scholarship and all will be even better.

I really hope we land him. Besides his skills, I am a fan of just his enthusiasm for joining this team! Too often we get muted responses. But this type of emotion being shown and love being tossed our way is refreshing! It was kinda like Aaron Jordan before he was reigned in a bit by others. I know they were probably just making sure he had some objectivity, but still...love how this kid is excited for this visit!

I'd imagine in part due to where Illinois currently lands on his priority list + his awareness of Frazier's all but certain commitment to Illinois this weekend.

I feel the exact same way. A big is a need, the wing spots are full. Use that 18' scholarship to swing for the fences.
