Team Rose wins 66 to 52 in a tough high flying game. 32 points from Horton Tucker. Kendal Moore with 15 himself

Get him, Coach! Tre Jones is the only other guy I saw put up a point total like that against Bradley Beal all spring and summer.

Talen H Tucker is my personal most coveted recruit and in my opinion he is better than Ayo (or at least more skilled/could take him one on one) and should be the #1 recruit in the broke budget state..err I mean the Land of Lincoln. He will be top 75 maybe even 50 soon. His game is such a great mix of old school and modern and he is a crafty summama gun do to his lack of explosiveness and bouncy athleticism. He will be that teammate that everyone loves to have and I don't think he needs to be the man. He is the poor mans Draymond Green, but with a much better handle and stroke than Green possessed at this point in his high school career. Green is obviously stronger, tougher, and with better defense and length. Now back to my Koolaid drinking.

I'll agree with this so the Ayo-ites will have two of us to call crazy. Give me THT and Conditt, then add any of the other wings and I call that a strong class with a high ceiling.

I see Parham retweeted THT's point total as 23. Still obviously had a tremendous game against one of the best AAU teams in the country. Get him and let Chin work it out with Ayo. With Underwood watching tonight I would hope they up the love a bit.

I dont fully understand the drama. Is there bad blood between THT and Ayo...or is it THT and Fire staff. Or both?

I would expect BU and staff would keep their head down and avoid drama and outside influence. Once upon a time this board was hopeful that both heading to Uof I and now its one or the other,...love to have both.

It's ThT and The Irvin's really. But THT essentially left Ayo as well so...

Yes, if you want THT more than Ayo you absolutely are crazy. One will play in the NBA, the other will not.

It's nice to have NBA caliber players who leave after a year, but sometimes having someone who is a great "college" player for 4 is better. I will take them both because I'm greedy and THT has a game for the B1G. I think of Kenny Battle when these arguments come up.

Underwood needs to get Ayo and THT on campus on the same weekend. Let them have fun together and get away from the Chicago politics.

THT is on his 3rd AAU team of the summer already, that should make they Irvins feel a little better, it's not just them. Whether they are mad at him or not, I'd highly doubt that carries all the way to caring where he goes to college.

Talen has only played on Team Rose and the Fire this summer. The Fire last summer. The thing at Oladipo was a skills camp where they divided the kids up and placed them on teams named after college teams - 2 from the Big East, 2 from the Big Ten and 2 from the ACC and played round robin.
And yes, I can guarantee that Mike Irvin is mad at him. Doubt they care where he goes to college but I'd bet he's letting Ayo know how he feels since he's letting anyone who can read his twitter know. Hoping Coleman and Underwood can sort it all out. But not sure Ayo or THT are thinking Illinois right now. Hope so.

There is NO reason not to be fully supportive of the staff and the players they like. I fully expect Underwood's team will be fun to watch and will go to the dance. Fit and identity will be there. National relevance will be the next step. Enjoy the ride.

Recruiting is never easy. Let it play out.

I understand what your point is but I would use Deon more then Battle for your argument. Battle did make the NBA but I believe he got hurt is why he didn't stay long, Deon made all his money over seas. but is still the leading scorer for the Illini

There was a lot of speculation he had quit the Fire to join MS, but he wouldn't have been eligible to play at Peach Jam with them because you need to have played at least one of the four spring sessions with a team before PJ and the Peach Invitational starts. I'm not even sure that's what he planned, but a lot of people just assumed he wouldn't leave the Nike circuit and I guess MS seemed like the likely spot. If he had joined them before the fourth session in LA it would've been fine but he sat out that session. I think he quit shortly before that started because that's when I saw a tweet from MIF "EYBL isn't for everybody" which, looking back I realized who it was meant for.

People are tweeting how THT can be the face of a program and the next Draymond Greene so people who might prefer him when we already have multiple pgs on the team aren't that crazy.

Personally I'll be surprised if Ayo plays in the nba.

And since he's on the bubble as a burger boy, he has some provin' to do before he's considered an NBA lock, for sure.

THT is no where near the bubble as a burger boy- Ayo sure but THT is well off that

I was commenting to his mention of Ayo and the NBA. I have not made any mention of THT's NBA potential.

Hopefully a "mad at him" AAU coach will have zero influence on whether we go after THT.
