Athletic in what way? He might have THT a little bit in the vertical department, but THT is a man amongst boys out there.

THT also has a way more all around game and a had a great final session with Team Rose.

All that said, I really like how Griffin would fit in here and would take him in a heartbeat.

Agreed THT is a man among boys...problem is next level pretty much all the boys are left to play at JC somewhere...THT will not dominate the way he does now at the next level no matter where it is. I just think Griffin as far more upside and is more athletic overall.

THT is stronger than the majority of college guards and wings right now

at the next level he's going to be playing against pretty much the exact same guys he's been playing against all spring and summer. EYBL and Adidas Gauntlet is not for JC players. He dominated against Bradley Beal which is nothing but d1 players, even coming off the bench.
Never know what you're going to say about THT, but it's always interesting.

If you think recruiting occurs on the surface level and you can always tell what is going on by the headlines, I have a bridge to sell you.

Is it a toll bridge? Would I be allowed to convert it to a toll bridge? What's the traffic count like? Do you have a deed? I might be interested.

There was a lot going on with the tilmon thing. But yes I heard very early that tilmon was going to mizzou. Then things changed. Then changed back to the him going to mizzou. It all came from mizzous side and the illini side didn't want to believe it at first. But pretty sure I called Tilmon to mizzou before anyone and got killed on here because it made people mad. Anyways, don't really care what people think I do or do not know. I'm not going to make stuff up and I'm not going to share something that doesn't come from a trusted source. It doesn't make me feel special like some of you may think. It's just sharing info I get with fellow illinois fans. I used to rely on people on here to share the inside info, and now I have some inside connections so why wouldn't I share what I hear? One of my guys called me last night saying Talen isn't going to come here. And it has a lot to do with the Ayo situation. I've also been telling you all Adam Miller won't be at manual next season. And nobody wants to believe that either so.... !♂️

It's also pretty funny reading some of these people acting like they know exactly how recruiting works when they know no more than anyone else who can read free and/or pay sites. Especially when you get to hear what really goes on. I will say this staff is much more tight lipped than the last staff.

I also mentioned Adam Miller to Morgan Park a long time ago and got jumped all over for that too.

People on this board I believe: cash and lefty. HC also called the tilmon sitch. HC has called no THT. we will see. The fun is watching it all play out.

We need to bring back some of the old greats from when this board was at its best! I have a lot of respect for all the posters you named, but we need to get Kramer, LincolnIlliniFan, g0... who am I forgetting! There's so many! Even Chiefinillini7! He was one of my favorites as well:chief:

Maybe so, but not nearly as many as he plays against weekly in High School. It really isn't a knock against THT, he reminds me of a McClain type of player, Sergio was not athletic, but he was very talented overall

You are really using the EYBL and Adidas as comparision for what he will face at the next level? How many wanna be coaches at these events have sat as a head coach in college and been successful teaching fundamentals and or defensive schemes to stop the opposing flavor of the week? Defense at some the games is like watching an NBA allstar game...he will not fare as well against structured successful proven coaches who's only job is to win against him.

We all know he is your boy, nuf said, go with that....I will take Griffin college career when it is over against THT's. Reconvene in 3-4 years.:)

Really? I'd say he is playing against other D-1 recruits right now but at the next level he will be playing better, more refined upper classmen. (At least at most high majors)

If you mean the same guys in his own freshman class than I agree. :thumb:

GroundHog and Heart of a Champion are missed.

The original post was implying that he's only overpowering weak high school players. Mike showed that he is physically dominating high level future D1 players. There is a big difference, this isn't class 1A scrubs
