The summer is over which means THT is headed back to illini friendly Simeon.

I'd say the odds are against him coming here, but he's certainly not a long shot.

Either way give me THT or Griffin and I'm happy. I think THT has the higher floor, but Griffin has the higher ceiling.

If Ayo is coming then why just not go ahead and commit?

Kansas offer is nice, and shows how far THT has come, but are they going to take him over all the 5 stars that they're targeting? He's likely a contingency plan there. MSU is interesting in this one because they already have a 4* wing committed, but are targeting both THT and Henry. It's not clear which guy Izzo prefers, but I'd be very surprised if Sparty didn't land one of the two.

When it all plays out, I wouldn't be surprised if THT ends up somewhere like OSU or Xavier.

Agreed. Very clear path to early tick at OSU. Obviously, MSU has serious appeal. I'd rather he go out of the BIG, but, if he's in it, anywhere but Northwestern (they seem to have faded w/the deluge of new offers).

Definitely. With the caveat that I'm totally clueless how many rides they have and if they'd take 2 wings in the class.

According to VC, they are full already. However, they have one (FWO) former walk on included, not sure if he could be turned back, plus Bridges he could have left this year. Add in Langford (Soph) & Jaren Jackson (Fresh) as high enough recruits that it is possible either could play themselves into the draft this year as well. Also looks like they probably would like a pg in 2018 to back fill for TumTum, they have Winston, a walkon freshman this year, and an unranked 2018 recruit.

They already have one, so Henry would make two. No way they take three.

Ask and ye shall receive. Tip of the cap, fellas.

IMO, think the Sparty offer was impressive for THT, but to many like him there. Still say Mildcats, Finke to Vandy, Ayo, Griffin, Castleton to :illinois: . ATM way I see it.;)

Last time I read about THT and his schools, he did not even mention Northwestern.

Griffin, Hinton, THT and Henry all mentioned as players who helped themselves the most in July.

Not sure if this has been posted, but Castleton, Conditt, Griffin, Henry, Jaxson Hayes, Nate Hinton, Amanze Ngumezi, and Morris Udeze are all Illini targets mentioned as potentially rising in the rankings.

When someone says a player is a lock, but there is no verbal, I'm a skeptic. Here's how I think about it:

If:
(a) the player knows for certain where he wants to go; and
(b) the player has support for that decision from his family, HS/AAU coaches, etc; and
(c) the recruiting coach welcomes a verbal

Then:
(d) the player will make a verbal, especially if it will enhance the recruitment of other players and/or end the stress of the recruiting process ; or
(e) no verbal indicates one of the premises is false.

In addition, if a player continues to take OVs, even though he has verballed, I assume (a) is false.

The best indication that a player might verbal, regardless of the odds, is if the coaches remain in active pursuit. Those who say Ayo is a lock must explain why he has not verballed. Those who say THT no longer has interest in our program, must explain why the coaches are still actively recruiting him.

I think Udeze already cut us from his list.
Point taken. I guess I am just happy we are on the short list for a lot of kids that seem to improving rapidly and/or getting increased attention.

MSU is gonna give 1 more ride, and THT and Henry are both in the running for it.

Where THT winds up is anyones guess right now. I still think he ends up in the B1G.

Really starting to think that the staff will only take Conditt or Castleton. First one to verbal takes it. Should be interesting to see that play out.

Agree with the ILL prediction.

THT getting the offer from MSU surprised me, but the one that shocked me was the recent KU offer.

Don't think that Finke is a lock to Vandy though. Heard he is looking at tOSU very seriously.

A few questions for those that may know: Who would we rather have, Conditt or Castleton? Which one makes more of an immediate impact? Potential? What are we getting if we got either one? From what I can tell, Conditt is a project but oozes potential. Castleton is a little less of a project, a great spot of shooter, and fills a very specific role in Underwood's offense.
