It's a long way off, but does anyone have any insights to how good our relationship sits w/ Miller?

Indianapolis 2018 wing Aaron Henry is blowing up with offers this month. Scoring lefty wing. Averaging 24 ppg in Vegas this week.

I admit, this caught me completely by surprise. I'm not used to seeing so many offers coming from our program in such a short time. I'm not sure what to make of it other than this class is wide open--except for one position: Ayo's.

We have many offers on the table, which at one point, I was confused to the reason why. As we gone on into the process the new staff has gone, it seems we have committable offers and uncommittable ones. We will accept the ones the like, and ones they have no chance on disappear, and the ones the have issues with or do not want to honor, are discarded.

The max amount we have available is 3, for us to gain anymore, something has to change. I have asked the same question many times, and the answer is staff will find away to make it happen. This is the way other schools operate, the big boys, and as said before, attrition comes in many ways.

This is a new culture, away of doing things. Embrace the fact we have a staff that is aggressive in the way we're looking at recruits and trying to secure the best we can. #wewiiwin :illinois:

Not so sure Ayo position/offer is sure fire? Would ILLINI love to have him yes, is it a need of importance, 4 PG on roster (Senior and 3 Soph). I could see us trying to get a wing and 3 bigs actually....although if he decides to come here, of course we take him.:chief:

Ok, so if we get Ayo, maybe we can hold on to him for at least 2 years (or more). ;)

As a point of reference, Ayo is generally considered the 5th or so PG in his class. Watching the Vegas Tourney last night, ESPN's analyst Biancardi talked about the top 3 PG's in the class and stated emphatically that he did not expect any of them to be 1 and dones...thought they were all probably 3 year players.

Just some perspective for those thinking Ayo is a one year player.

Great, that's even better, we'll keep Ayo for at least 3 years then.

You 2 get recognition for the right answer - now back to hoping Ayo commits to the Illini soon. :thumb:

Ayo and THT are targets, a big and a wing, offers have been made , I'm sure a few more coming. July evaluation period all but done. Now we waiting for OV to schedule, school to start, and commits to happen. BU been adding ingredents to his stew, add the final special touches, get brew ready to cook. :illinois:

Mac Irvin Beats NJ Playaz. AYO DOSUNMU PUTS UP 42pts 8Ast against Jevon Quinerly 7pts @coreyevans_10 @EvanDaniels @PaulBiancardi @ebosshoops

Jevon is one of Biancardi top five PG in 2018, and ranked 15th in the nation by 247! Ayo will start from day one here!

Ayo keeps excelling. Dominated a higher ranked PG. Yep, he'll start from day one (assuming that he chooses us).

A backcourt of TJL/Frazier, Smith and Ayo (with DMW supporting) should do some MAJOR damage.

can we stop the comments about we will be in equal position recruiting wise without AYO!!!! Hands down the best player we in on and have a legitimate shot at. THT will be a good player but not a player you will build a program around.

Tough to choose between him and DeSousa. Assume you don't think we are really in on him. Agree, however, he is a game changer. Not as big as THT but looks much quicker to me.

Tells you all you need to know that he is the only PG we are recruiting.

Hearing Finke is less and less likely. Staff thinks there is better options out there. Finke is still an option just not a top one.

Ayo, Conditt, Pearson is likely, Staff still trying to figure out their top priorities for the 4th spot.

For the 4th spot names like THT, Hellems, Nolley, Sow, Archie being thrown around.

May have to add Griffin to that list. Probably the Indiana kid, Aaron Henry, we just offered too.
