So much for Conditt taking OVs to places far away. First is to Iowa State, and then coming to UI

If he makes it out of Iowa without committing I'll feel pretty good about our chances with him. Then again Griffin seemed to like Iowa St a lot so TTFWIW.

Very interesting, 2 weeks after Castleton makes visit. Maybe he's going to make visit for BU to make a choice. The plot thickens.:eek:

Unless OA coaching and BU offense better than playing at home in Florida a verbal from Castleton makes me nervous. Especially now when players are released from official commitments without sitting a year.

I am most interested in where we stand for our wing targets, that may be our biggest position of need

Is this brand new because Dr. Google still says you have to sit out a year?

Conditt will visit shortly after Castelton and may decide prior to Colin's visit to Florida. I think his visit is more of recruiting pitch to them than vice versa. He's trying to convince him that he's worth a scholarship and will encourage them to find one for him despite there being none available.

2018 6'11 Corliss F George Conditt (@george_conditt) is on an unofficial visit to Iowa State today. @TEAMRWA16 @MidwestHoopsSL

And his first OV is to Ames. Wonder if Iowa State ends up with a lot of the class a lot of people were penciling in for us.

I was worried about getting a big man after seeing Castleton visiting Florida without an offer. After seeing this conditt news it looks like a big domino will likely fall first.

I get what you're saying, but Florida has 3 openings according to Verbal commits, so the scholarship is there, it is just they have there sights set on higher priorities & if/when those higher ranked prospects start leaning elsewhere then I would expect them to offer Castelton.

Today's big news was conditt setting a date... Sow hasn't set an official. He might not get the chance to.

The article says the Illini have prioritized two big men...are you implying that we made Sow's final five teams without prioritizing him?

It's not likely but possible.. Castleton has set an official visit set & hasn't been offered by Florida yet. Anything is possible with these kids.

#Illini priority big man target Colin Castleton tells me he has added OVs to Purdue (9/29) & Florida (10/14). No Xavier. ILL gets 1st crack.

Hard to imagine Florida having him on an OV if they haven't offered.

I found the same results on Scout. Looks like Florida had a good 2017 class of bigs, and they've made over 20 offers for the 2018 class, leaving Castleton out. If they want Castleton, looks like they've got him. However, Castleton could lose control of his future. He said he wouldn't make a commitment until after all of his visits. Good luck on that. This isn't a closed system. By the end of October he could lose a lot of options, including Florida. Conditt could well be our first recruit. I've never seriously considered that we might get both Conditt and Castleton, but considering the nature of BU's system, why not? Mizz got three bigs in the same class. It could happen.

I'd guess Underwood will respectfully push for a commitment, letting him know Conditt will be in soon and they will only take 1 of the 2.

I also don't think we take both. Both will need some time to mature physically. With Okoro and Liddell in the next class why oversign with a project big?
