I agree but I want malcolm to win the tourney..... I'm conflicted
Agreed. I would like to see Malcolm and Tracy go out with a win, not a loss. Everything else will take care of itself.

Tilmon signed a NLI. It's not as simple as him just announcing that he is going to Mizzou. He has to be released, and if the staff feels Mizzou was tampering with signed recruits they could always block him from signing there.

Players come and go if Tilmon wants to leave (probably mizzou) it sucks but he should be granted his release. The important thing to remember is that Mark Smith is by far and away the more important recruit. At the end of the day I think we all want the same thing, to watch winning basketball. The athletic department needs to get it done if they don't they can look for employment elsewhere.
Have to disagree. Smith would be a great get but we need bigs.
It's not like athletic bigs aren't great to have, but my god, if there was ever a recruit with a game that was made to be maximized in this offense, it's Mark Smith.
Pretty sure that you can only block when it's a transfer.
You're 100% percent right that we need bigs but more than anything we need difference makers we haven't had any in 12 years.
p.s. Hooping34 if you're Mark Smith please come to Illinois we need you and we will appreciate a 1,000 times more than any of the other fanbases of the schools you are considering
Tilmon is going to Mizzou fellas.

Someone remind me where Walker previously coached. Ohio with Groce or somewhere else?
As a casual observer in the recruiting space, it seems like we often went up against certain schools for recruits during the Groce era. Some of that is geographic, some of that is competition for outstanding talent, but some of it I think was driven by the system we ran. For example, it always seemed odd to me that we found ourselves competing against Oregon for recruits. I don't know how much of that was skill set or system driven, but I am curious if our new system under BU will find us pitted against new schools for recruits. What do you guys think? What skills will we be looking for, and who do you think will be added to our list of recruiting nemeses?
That's all I needed ray:LOL ummmm no

I'm not saying he has signed. I'm saying that he will ask for his release and sign with Missouri. Hopefully something changes but as of now that is the plan.

You guys have ran off a lot of people with information from this board. I will also stop posting what I hear. Sorry to the regular people on here who can actually accept bad news. One more thing, do we really want a kid who has been such a pain before even stepping foot on campus?
