I read where Kane was considered a "3 star"...not that it really matters.

On a "recruit development" note...we have to speed up teaching "the system" for all of these new guys. It was painfully slow system transition this season. Offense seemed to click as best it could at the very end but jeesh...there has got to be a way speed up the teaching/ learning process. I think we need to get Tyler and other returnees teaching with informal scrimmages in the summer or something similar.

It also helps to have guys who meet the physical requirements of the system being installed

He's 6'6" so he's going to be matched up against forwards in high school but that doesn't mean he's a 4. He's a completely different player than Leron despite being the same height. Leron also had about 20 more pounds on him than Jones as a senior..

I have watched many games of his and he is not a completely different player then Black was, He is more athletic then Black, and has slightly better handle then black. but thats about the only difference.

Anyone want to say going after JE 2.0 here, very similar players...besides how many guards we getting. Love the positionless, up tempo, but really think we need some sort of bigs unless we run the rest of the B1G out of the gyms and that isn't likely.

Doubt it matters much. Mack would just continue to recruit Jones to Louisville.

Andres Feliz was an original 2016 commit to Antigua/USF, however he was ruled ineligible by the NCAA due to the academic fraud at USF and Antigua's brother. Feliz also played for OA's brother's Dominican Republic U19 national team in the 2015 world championships. Feliz would be a big time get if he clears through NCAA. Instant impact guy!!

If true that we're recruiting him, this means two things: (1) we're not getting Ramey, and (2) TJL is transferring.

Yup both of those must be correct. Piper said yesterday on Werner show that the staff has had a JC big and a JC PG waiting in the wings if their plan A’s don’t work out and he said that Antigua recruiting both. I guess he’s the PG

Well, getting this guy instead of Ramey isn't a bad thing. While we definitely need an influx of talent, we also need to be mindful of class balance. Bringing in 6 freshmen isn't ideal.

Andres Feliz is a really good guard and a winner. I think he broke the assist record at NWF State and may be close to breaking the scoring record.

His team is one of the final eight in the NJCAA Division 1 Championship and they play today. In the Sweet Sixteen game he filled up the stat sheet with 24 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Also in the tournament is Jordan Brangers, often discussed on this board. Last year Jordan's team beat Andres's team in the National Championship game.

The way players transfer in and out, class balance is not as important as it used to be. Kids leaving early, I don't think Kentucky worries about class balance. We are finally stepping up a notch in talent, players like Ayo and JC kids will not be here more than two years.:thumb:

Right, the JC kids won't be here more than 2 years.......but we don't have any JC kids committed. That was my point.....taking this JC PG wouldn't be a bad thing, because it gives us a bit of class balance.

And UK's crop of 6 freshmen are typically a wee bit different than a class of 6 mostly-3* freshmen for us

I guess I should say that "hope Vesel transfers" is because we couldn't get all 3 of these without another person transferring out and he's the most likely one to do so, IMO

I think the consensus is zero chance Caroline comes and it’s very likely Lucas transfers. We can hope for a good PG replacement and Jones.
