Just watched some of George Conditt's highlights and he is definitely an interesting prospect. Looks to have great length and can pass and shoot well for a player of his size.

That said he is 6'11 with a long wingspan and can barely dunk. He needs to hit the weight room hard if he wants to play P5.

Probably worth a scholarship due to a high ceiling, but the potential floor is also very low in my opinion. Really a boom or bust player.

He is one of those kids who grew a lot in a short amount of time, so went from a guard to now a big. If we offer this weekend would be a nice kid to lock up, if we lock up Greg-EE would be looking good for 2018 as far as bigs

I myself am not to worried about us getting a young man and him being a flop, I feel this staff will drop who ever isn't helping or working as hard as they think they should be. I for one am all for it

I dont know about the low floor considering hes a perimeter player who grew from 6-5 freshman to 6-10 since being in HS. Hes a stretch 4 at best but looks to be a SF at the rate at which his skills are developing. I think hes going to put on some strength but lack of strength shouldnt be a deterrent simply because its a maturity thing comes along with a sudden growth spurt like that.

I was reading an article on him and apparently his focus has been speed, agility, and strength before even thinking about 5 on 5 so he seems to get it . If the kid shows up on campus at 6'11 210 - 220lbs that would be excellent for his body type when considering the style of play that BU wants to implement.

Any time a player is that unathletic they have a low floor.

I am surprised to hear you say you think he may be an SF. In BU's offense I can't see him playing anything other than the five. 3s and 4s need quickness that I do not see from him right now.

I completely acknowledge his high ceiling though if he is able to add strength, especially in his legs

He was on campus yesterday...not sure where the rumors are coming otherwise.

Same place I heard he was making a surprise visit 2 days ago: :.

I was told he may have had to reschedule. I imagine if he had definitely been campus yesterday more would have leaked.

Did you see him on campus?

Just saw George Conditt play 3 times over the weekend in Louisville at an AAU tournament and HE CAN NOT play at Illinois. Yes he is tall and rangy, but not a dominant player at all. Set on 3 pt line all weekend. Never went into the paint area even though 6 inches or more taller than guys guarding him. Argued with coach and pouted at times. Not impressed at all. No motor at all and in my opinion not even best player on the team.

I don't know what to tell people believe it or don't... The ACC restriction making him sit out knocked some schools off his list and others got some commits.. He was suppose to visit yesterday. Can't confirm 100% he did.

This is really nuts this year seems like only a year or so that 90% of recruiting for the following season was over in November.

#Illini will host 2020 in-state stud Adam Miller (@AceWolf44) on Tuesday. Athletic 2019 F Chris Payton & 2020 SF Quincy Ademokoya will join.

Will be a busy Tuesday.

I am new to following recruiting. Is this fairly normal, this amount of visits? Did we get this many under Groce at this point in the year all things being equal? If it is higher activity might that be because of prospective athletes perception of the new coach and staff as in "hey, this might be a good system to play in"?

It's because of the NBA rule allowing players to get feedback from scouts. Most players in past years would have had to declare for the draft months earlier. This delay in players entering the draft delayed the decisions of a lot of college players this year.
